Conversations with Ace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ace.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started Suite Spa Los Angeles in August 2020—right in the middle of the pandemic. It was a time filled with fear, caution, and uncertainty, but as an entrepreneur, you learn to live in the moment and look for solutions, not just setbacks. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced just about every growth challenge during those first few years.

What I noticed back then was simple but powerful: people were isolated, overwhelmed, and craving safe, meaningful care—but many couldn’t, and most didn’t want to, leave home to get it. And honestly, that’s still true in 2025. That’s when it clicked: What if the spa came to them? Not just a massage, but a full Spa Experience—unrushed, professional, and restorative.

The truth is, mobile spa services aren’t new. The difference comes from building a brand people trust. That’s what sets you apart.

Originally, I thought I’d serve everyone. But as I evolved, I realized my natural connection was with women—especially high-performing and working women who often put themselves last. They’re in their prime career years, juggling everything. That became my lane. I don’t just work with women—I care for them, consistently and respectfully.

Over time, clients began to see me not just as a spa masseur, but as a self-care partner—someone they could trust to show up, listen, and help them reset. I didn’t set out to compete with traditional spas. I created Suite Spa LA to offer something different: convenience without compromise, wellness without traffic, care without question.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth—and that’s what shaped my service. Becoming a spa masseur isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle. You’re stepping into people’s most intimate spaces, their homes, their energy. So you have to stay grounded in your own. That means being disciplined—mentally, physically, and emotionally. I have to eat light, stay in shape, and keep my own nervous system balanced so I can help restore someone else’s.

This work requires more than technical skill. It takes maturity, deep listening, and respect. You’re not just offering a massage—you’re offering presence. You’re helping someone calm their breath, reset their nervous system, and feel safe enough to let go. That’s not something you can fake.

You also have to be strong in customer service. I gently remind clients, especially women who are used to doing everything for everyone else, that during this time… there is nothing they need to do. No decisions, no planning. Just be. Be in your body. Be in this moment. That’s the real reset.

Like any business, there have been challenges—growing pains, slow seasons, building trust as a male provider. But each one taught me how to refine what I offer, who I serve, and how I show up with integrity every single time.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a spa masseur and the founder of Suite Spa Los Angeles, a 5-star mobile spa service designed exclusively for women. I specialize in delivering the full Spa Experience—not just a treatment, but a restorative ritual—directly to homes, hotels, and vacation rentals across Los Angeles.

What I’m known for is helping high-performing women reset—mentally, physically, and emotionally. My clients are often executives, business professionals, medical caregivers, and creatives who pour into others all day long and rarely get poured into themselves. That’s where I come in. I bring everything needed to transform their space into a calming sanctuary, and I guide them back to themselves.

What sets me apart is the consistency, professionalism, and emotional safety I bring to every session. My spa experience is unrushed, grounded, and deeply respectful. I’m not here to compete with spas—I’m here to offer a different kind of wellness: one rooted in presence, privacy, and real peace of mind.

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients. I often hear things like: “That was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.”“I felt safe, heard, and deeply relaxed for the first time in a long time.”
“It wasn’t just a massage—it was a reset.”

To me, that’s the highest compliment. Because it means I’m doing more than just delivering a service—I’m helping women remember what it feels like to receive care without needing to earn it.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My honest advice? Don’t do it—unless you’re ready for all of it. Work for a spa first. Try to get hired as a male therapist—if you can get through that wall of rejection, maybe you’ve got a shot. This industry is competitive, and the truth is: women dominate it—and they do so for a reason. So if you’re a man entering this space, especially one who wants to serve only women, don’t be surprised when people meet you with confusion or even suspicion.

There are only about 20% of men in the spa and massage space. So if you’re one of them, your skin needs to be smooth on the outside and thick on the inside. You’ll need to lead with respect and professionalism—every time. You’re not just offering a massage; you’re holding space for someone else’s nervous system. That takes presence, maturity, and a lot of self-awareness.

One thing I wish I knew earlier? How much marketing it takes. You have to be part massage therapist, part customer service rep, part branding expert—and a full-time follow-up machine. Be prepared to spend money just to reach a few people. But those few, if you serve them well, will help grow your name.

Running a mobile spa also means you’re in your clients’ environment—so you don’t have to worry about how your spa looks, but you do have to know how to enhance the space they already have. And one note: if you’re not comfortable around pets, it might not be for you—because 40% of the time, a dog or cat will be part of the experience.

And lastly, let’s be real—there’s still a lingering immaturity around massage services, especially when a man provides them. I don’t pretend it doesn’t exist. I address it up front. During intake, I make it very clear what the Spa Experience is—and what it isn’t. If someone wants to test those boundaries, that’s on them, not me.

At the end of the day, this work is about self-care. It’s about restoring peace, not entertaining fantasies, and women feel that from the moment I arrive.
This isn’t just a service—it’s a transformation. You “reserve” time with someone who knows how to bring your nervous system back online. Suite Spa Los Angeles is a true hidden gem—quietly serving women across the city with care, consistency, and a Spa Experience you won’t find anywhere else.”
