Meet Lili Aghaei of The Vintage Marché

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lili Aghaei.

Hi Lili, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The Vintage Marché launched in February 2023 as a small hobby from my strong love and passion for rare vintage pieces that no one else had. I began originally with sourcing vintage luxury shoes and then we grew to sourcing rare luxury handbags and accessories. We are now known for sourcing the rarest, most sought after vintage luxury handbags in excellent condition, such as Gucci Tom Ford Horsebit belts, wallets and handbags to vintage Fendi Baguette Handbags. The product speaks for itself. We have clients returning drop after drop because of the reliability of the brand to deliver the most unique pieces in excellent condition. Now we have grown to dropping monthly new collections on our website (before it was just IG DM) and we also collaborate with some of the best luxury skincare, makeup, and fashion brands in the market such as Westman Atelier, Summer Fridays, Necessaire, and Anine Bing to name a few. We also just went on our first international sourcing trip to France last summer and it was so incredible so we have more plans in the future to continue doing these incredible trips. It’s also been so amazing to see celebrities styling our vintage luxury handbags such as Sydney Sweeney at Stagecoach just this past week and Nina Dobrev at the David Yurman opening in Miami.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Great question— the brand itself has seen such great success in such a short period of time which I am so grateful for as I know how difficult it is for brands to succeed in the early years. However, of course not everything has been a smooth road and we’ve hit roadblocks and tears have been shed. You just have to keep going and remember your why and learn from your mistakes so they don’t happen again. Running a business is not an easy feat— I loved every second of the creative aspect of building TVM and meeting all my clients and working with other brands. The business side of the brand is another story haha. Thank GD I have my husband who has helped me tremendously with the business aspect of running a small business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are known for sourcing and curating the best rare vintage luxury handbags, shoes and accessories in excellent condition. Our pieces speak for themselves— we curate and source some of the most sought out designer pieces you can’t find elsewhere and each piece tells a special story. We have monthly drops on our instagram and website where you can shop the most coveted vintage pieces you can’t find elsewhere!

How do you define success?
Another great question. Success means different things to different people. For me, I’m about to be a mom of two and I’m running my small business, success means being the best role model for my children by going after my dreams and working passionately every day to build this phenomenal brand while also being there for my kids for all the major milestones and moments. I work from home so my two year old sees how hard I work every day but I’m also about to play with her, go to classes with her etc. I’m successful because I am able to work and grow my brand while also growing my family. I’m truly so grateful.
