Today we’d like to introduce you to Syar Humayun.

Hi Syar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have been in the security industry for nearly a decade. I started as an employee working for various companies while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from CSUN. While working security, I noticed that not many guards had connections with the people they served. That’s what always stood out to me: how could you not want to build some sort of connection with the people you see daily? While on duty, I would try my best to communicate with everyone I came across, whether in a professional setting or a residential setting. I began to notice the impact communication can have; a simple greeting can create a long-lasting connection. As soon as I graduated, I decided to start my own security guard company. What sets us apart is our focus on building connections with clients and those we serve, becoming a part of their community while prioritizing client safety, satisfaction, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects. We provide exceptional services with complete honesty and transparency like no other company in the industry. Utilizing state-of-the-art reporting technology, we conduct supervisor visits during guard shifts and arrange manager meetings with clients to address any concerns and continuously improve our services. My goal is to elevate Owl Sight Security Services to become one of the top-ranked security guard companies in Los Angeles, recognized for delivering the highest quality of service, creating meaningful relationships with our clients, and expanding our presence throughout California.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a start-up in an industry dominated by well-established companies, we faced and overcame many challenges. One of the toughest challenges was giving our clients the confidence that they had made the right decision by choosing our company over some of our well-known competitors. We achieved this by utilizing third-party reporting systems, ensuring complete honesty. Once the report is submitted, we can not make any changes or edits. For this reason, we try our best to be as detailed as possible, ensuring our clients receive every detail during our presence. Even the smallest details can be the difference between a worried client and a satisfied client. We take pride in our objective and detailed reports.

Another struggle in scaling our company has been finding quality employees. Employees are the backbone of any business; they lay the foundation for a company’s success. For this reason, we carefully select individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and share our commitment to the company’s success. By thoroughly vetting and training our employees to meet our standards, we consistently deliver high-quality and reliable security services to our clients.

Owl Sight Security Services specializes in unarmed security guards. We offer our services to residential and commercial properties, as well as private events, including weddings, birthday parties, and other special occasions. Our guards are dispatched to construction sites to prevent vandalism and theft of construction equipment, ensuring that no project delays occur. Additionally, we provide vehicle patrol services. Our vehicles are marked with our company logo and have a light bar on the roof. Throughout the night, these vehicles patrol multiple locations to present a strong security presence in the area.

We’ve become very popular for our fumigation service. During fumigations, homeowners must vacate their homes for a few days, leaving them vulnerable to burglary. Many homeowners contact us to have a security guard stationed on the property to deter potential burglars and robbers. In the SoCal area alone, we have completed over 250 fumigation assignments.

From the early stages of our company, we quickly earned a reputation for offering affordable services without sacrificing quality. We understand that every client has a different budget, and we customize security packages that our clients are comfortable with, tailored to their situation.

One thing I’m incredibly proud of that sets us apart from our competitors is that we have never had any site cancellations due to guard issues. We deliver on the promises we make to our clients, ultimately contributing to our company’s growth and success today.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Our employees deserve most of the credit for our success. Without a strong team sharing the same vision for the company’s growth, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Their hard work, dedication, and motivation have been crucial in helping our business thrive.

Additionally, our company wouldn’t be where it is today without my father, as an immigrant who has spent over a decade working in the security industry to support my family while my siblings and I attended school. He has been a vital asset to our success. With the experience and knowledge he has accumulated over the years, he is the person I turn to when seeking guidance on making important decisions for the company.
