Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Muranko.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Karen. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I believe I had the ability to talk to animals as a child but it was pushed off by my over-active imagination.
Approximately 10 years ago, I started to hear voices and wondered what was going on. Is it my imagination? No. I walked into my vet’s office to pick up my cat. When I sat on the bench, the dog sitting next to me with his human put his paw on my shoulder and very clearly said in my mind, “My name is Piper. I ate something I shouldn’t have and my tummy hurts. I think I need medical intervention to help me get better.” I told his human as well as the vet staff. They were open-minded and told me they would call me with the results. It was exactly as Piper told me.
Now the door was opened to hearing animals. Spirits, well that’s an interesting story looking back but scary when it happened.. I was driving on the 5 freeway northbound when I saw what appeared to be an accident in the southbound lane. I do my best to avert my eyes from accidents but this time I saw. A car had flipped over the meridian from southbound to northbound lane and I could tell from lack of urgency from the first emergency responders that the people probably did not survive.
The next day as I was driving and I felt light-headed and had lack of focus. Fortunately, I was on my way to my healer an mentor. She told me the people in the car, mother and child, did not survive. The Mom was still in spirit looking for her child and thought that I could reunite her. Wow. My mentor told me that I had the responsibility of talking to the Mom and explain that the only she could be reunited was to surrender and go to the light. I saw the reunion of the mother and child.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I personally have had no obstacles with embracing my abilities. The struggles come when people don’t understand how communication and mediumship works. Neither do those of us who have them but we are blessed with having a gift. I love having abilities.
Having a mentor has helped me with any obstacles and challenges. We are more like colleagues now.

Medium Services:
I am able to read a person to consult on present life issues and offer guidance and suggestions on how to find clarity. Connecting people to animals and humans in spirit to provide answers to questions you feel may be unanswered. How to come to a sense of closure if the person feels they may not have that.
There are no clubs or groups for Mediums. What I feel sets me apart is always putting humans and their animals first. Always tell the truth. Never sugar coat. My testimonials speak on my behalf.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Presently I am in season two of Animals Speak to Me filmed at Pasadena Media Center.
While I thoroughly enjoy communication, I am embracing Reiki healing for animals. I’ve been working with two Yellow Labs once a week for almost a year. I’ve worked with them on behavioral issues and most recently, Reiki healing to help with leg issues from surgeries and exuberant play time.
Since I’ve been working with my two canine girls, most of their physical issues are resolved. Now we need to go back to doggy etiquette 101.
