Meet Jonathan of Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan.

Hi Jonathan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Israel and got into music pretty early — playing keys, producing, and working on live shows. Over time I started collaborating with bigger artists and building a career both in the studio and on stage. After almost 10 years of touring and working with high-profile artists across the Israeli scene, COVID hit and everything stopped. With the schedule wide open, it felt like the right time for a change and I started looking into it.
In 2022 I decided to officially make the jump to Los Angeles to chase bigger opportunities, and since then I’ve been lucky to work with a bunch of amazing artists like Mergui, BTS, Nessa Barrett, TXT, Dream, PSY, J Hart, Ktlyn, IDK, Nya, Cil, Flyana Boss, ENHYPEN, Trousdale and more.

Depending on the project, I jump between musical direction, live arrangements, recording keyboards, programming patches, sound design, touring, and production. It’s been a crazy ride so far, and I’m excited to see what’s next.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Moving to Los Angeles was definitely exciting, but it wasn’t easy. Even with experience and credits, you’re basically starting over — building a new network, proving yourself in a new scene, and trying to break into circles that already have their people. I feel like you really have to pay your dues in LA — nobody hands you anything. I had to be patient, keep showing up, keep delivering at a high level, and trust that the right opportunities would come with time and consistency. It’s not easy but it definitely makes the wins hit harder!

The language barrier was also real at the beginning. it’s different when you’re trying to express yourself creatively, or when you’re networking and trying to build real relationships in a language you’re not used to use. It took a little time to feel comfortable and it’s still tricky sometimes.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a mix of things — live arrangements, sound design, playing keys, producing — depending on the project. I actually just got back from tour with J-Hope (BTS member). Before the tour, I worked on the live arrangements with Asaf Rodeh, and it was insane getting to see it all come together on stage.
Watching thousands of people vibing to the parts we worked so hard on – in arenas and stadiums, was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had.

I think what sets me apart is that I really get deep into both sides of it -I love finding that balance between the studio world and the energy of live shows, and keeping that balance is probably what I’m most proud of.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
That’s a tough one! Maybe the fact that I never finished high school. I decided pretty early on to take a different path and went straight into learning music production and sound instead. It was a bit of a risk at the time, but looking back, it definitely pushed me to jump in.
