Meet Manal Adam of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manal Adam.

Hi Manal , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, I’ve been passionate about self-care. As a teenager, I loved experimenting with creating my own soaps and lotions, blending ingredients to craft products that made me feel good inside and out. But when I became a mother, everything changed.

During my pregnancy, I struggled to maintain the self-care routines I cherished. After giving birth, I faced postpartum depression—a condition that affects 10-20% of women but is rarely discussed openly. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the things I loved. Even simple acts, like brushing my hair after a shower, felt impossible. I wished for a product that could simplify my routine, combining the skincare I needed with the beautiful scents I adored.

My five years as a pharmaceutical compliance specialist actually became unexpected preparation. Day after day, I’d reviewed clinical studies on skin absorption rates and ingredient safety protocols. That scientific rigor became invaluable when developing our bi-phase formula. But it was my personal struggle that taught me what women truly needed.

My corporate experience taught me the rules – but becoming a mother taught me when to rewrite them. I took everything I knew about clinical efficacy and married it with the compassion that comes from having lived through the struggle myself.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a journey of balancing what felt like three full-time roles: being a mom, learning business from scratch, and navigating life as a new immigrant.

I came to the U.S. just four years ago with my pharmaceutical corporate background—but suddenly, I was decoding everything from supply chains to Instagram algorithms while also learning new cultural . There were days I’d be up at 3 a.m. researching FDA regulations after putting my kid to bed, or practicing meetings in my second language.

But those struggles shaped the product. My scientific compliance experience helped me obsess over the bi-phase formula, while motherhood taught me to create something *multifunctional*—because busy women deserve luxury that works as hard as they do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I graduated with a degree in finance but life had other plans. I spent five years in the pharmaceutical industry as a compliance specialist auditing processes to ensure patient safety. It taught me precision, how to navigate regulations, and most importantly, the science behind what makes products truly effective—and safe.

Building this while raising my daughter. I want her to see that obstacles—whether it’s a new country, a new language, or a new role—don’t define you. They refine you. And if I can inspire her to chase her dreams, no matter how impossible they seem? That’s the real success.”

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
People might assume this brand was born from a lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur—but the truth is, I never saw myself as ‘a founder.’ I was content in my corporate role, ensuring compliance and patients Safety . The real catalyst?

Postpartum depression.

When I became a mom, I felt invisible—like I’d lost myself ,That’s when I realized: self-care isn’t selfish; it’s survival.
