Daily Inspiration: Meet Kyle Muladore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Muladore.

Hi Kyle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
On January 1st, 2021 I decided to start a daily run streak where I’d run at least a mile a day minimum for a whole year.

Inspired by a former coworker who had completed such a challenge, it seemed like a great way to get outside and shed some of the pandemic pounds.

This quickly turned into longer and longer runs, eventually taking me off the road and onto the beautiful trails in the mountains surrounding Los Angeles.

The discovery of trail running led to even further distances with me running my first 50k in March of 2022.

I used this as training for the Barkley Fall Classic, a race in Tennessee that gives runs a little taste of The Barkley Marathons. It’s a race that I register for every year, absolutely love the challenge.

Since then I have run a 50 miler, 100k, and even 100 miles at Angeles Crest 100 in August of 2024.

And the run streak has yet to be broken, by the end of 2025, I’ll have run daily for five straight years.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Though I enjoy the daily run streak, it hasn’t always been easy.

There have been some very early morning runs to ensure that I wouldn’t have it looming over me that evening, especially when I know I’m getting together with friends that night.

Days after long races where I simply have no desire to put on my running shoes and head out the door.

But I’m the only person who can hold myself accountable, the only one who would care if the run streak ended.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Professionally, I own and operate, Celador Media, with my business partner, Robert. We are a boutique digital marketing and web development company.

As it relates to running, I create content with my brother-in-law, Scott, for our YouTube channel, Crushing Trails and Drinking Ales.

Our goal is to tell stories from the trails. That includes videos about the races we run, unique beer miles that we come up with, and runs to breweries where we highlight the local region. As well as self-imposed challenges, like the time I ran with a backpack on, dropping off 22 books at different Little Free Libraries in my neighborhood. That’s something I am very proud of.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Something that I found helpful when I first started running was knowing that it is going to suck at times. Not every run will be fun, but stick with it. I’m not necessarily saying to run every day, but create a schedule that works for you. Early on I found that running at least 30 minutes at a time helped get past the initial “meh” feeling and into a state of flow.
