Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Cure
Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into real estate started with a love for creating spaces that feel personal and meaningful. Growing up in a family involved in construction and real estate, I saw firsthand how properties could transform into homes. That early exposure planted a seed, but I didn’t dive straight into real estate.
After some time in the business world, I realized I wanted something more creative and hands-on. Moving to the desert in 2020 was a turning point. The beauty and stillness of the landscape gave me a fresh perspective. I decided to focus on luxury desert properties—specifically ones with unique potential, like renovations and new builds that told a story.
What drew me to this niche was the challenge and opportunity to combine my creativity with problem-solving. Whether it’s navigating land use issues or helping investors turn properties into luxurious retreats, I’ve found my passion in bringing out the best in every project.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is navigating the strict regulations around land use and permitting, especially in Southern California’s desert regions. The process can be frustrating and slow, but I’ve learned to see it as a puzzle to solve. My goal is always to find solutions that make my clients’ investments both compliant and profitable.
Another challenge has been building trust and a reputation in a competitive industry. Early on, there were times when I’d second-guess myself, especially when projects didn’t go as planned—like deals falling through or unexpected issues with properties. It’s also tough balancing client expectations, especially when things are out of my control, like market fluctuations or delays in construction.
What’s helped me overcome these challenges is staying adaptable, being transparent with clients – communication is key, and always focusing on solutions. Those moments of struggle have taught me patience and how to turn obstacles into learning experiences.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
People love to call success ‘luck,’ but in reality, it’s years of hard work, showing up, and staying consistent. Sure, I’ve had moments where opportunities lined up at the right time—like meeting the right client or coming across the perfect property—but those moments only mattered because I was prepared to take action. On the flip side, I’ve faced setbacks—deals falling through, unexpected issues, and roadblocks that tested me. But instead of blaming ‘bad luck,’ I focused on problem-solving and persistence. At the end of the day, luck might open a door, but success comes from being ready to walk through it.
