Hi Francheska , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Thank you so much for having me! Becoming a mom truly changed everything for me in the most beautiful, life-altering way. When my son was born, all I wanted was to keep him safe, especially when it came to the clothes touching his brand-new skin. But it didn’t take long to realize how hard it was to find baby clothing that was genuinely organic, free from harmful chemicals, and made with transparency and care.
That search filled with frustration and a lot of label reading eventually inspired what would become my second baby: Earth Angel Apparel. I officially launched it in August 2023, but the journey started long before then. I dove deep into learning everything I could about organic textiles, ethical production, and GOTS certification because I didn’t want to just create cute baby clothes. I wanted to build something meaningful. Something parents could truly trust. It wasn’t always easy, but every step was fueled by love. And today, Earth Angel Apparel stands for exactly what I needed as a new mom: pure, sustainable baby essentials made with intention. Looking back, it’s been such an incredible ride. I’ve had the chance to connect with so many parents who share the same values, and I’m beyond grateful that I get to show up each day as both a mom and a business owner. Knowing that families choose Earth Angel to care for their little ones? It means the world. If this journey has taught me anything, it’s that when you lead with heart and stay true to your purpose, the most amazing things can happen.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all! Like most journeys worth taking, it’s been full of twists and turns, up and downs. Starting Earth Angel Apparel came with its fair share of challenges, especially as a mom trying to juggle family life and launching a business. One of the biggest struggles was navigating all the complexities of ethical manufacturing and achieving GOTS certification. There were moments when it felt overwhelming, trying to ensure every detail met those high standards while staying true to my vision. Another challenge was simply getting the word out. As a new brand, especially in such a niche space, it takes time to build trust and educate families on why sustainable, organic baby clothing matters. I often doubted if I was doing enough or if people would see the heart behind what I’m creating. But through all of that, I’ve learned so much, not just about running a business, but also about resilience and leaning into the support of others. Every challenge has made me more passionate about this mission. Hearing from parents who love what Earth Angel Apparel stands for makes every bump in the road worth it. It’s far from smooth, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This journey has been as much about growth as it has been about creating something meaningful.
