Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Lawrence Jr (iiamchos3n).

Hi Mark, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a father first and an upcoming artist out of Los Angeles CA. I’ve been doing music for about 8 years now, my genres include Hip Hop/Rap and R&B. I’m a very passionate father and musician who’s overcome plenty of adversity and pain through out my journey, but I’ve learned through unyielding faith that if you put your trust in God, Everything falls into place as it should. I’ve learned to become a better person physically, mentally, and spiritually and I express a lot of my emotions through my relatable music.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Its not always been the smoothest road, I’ve overcome Homelessness, being played out of a lot of money funding my own career as an artist while also taking care of my family , getting screwed over by people I thought had my back. But In the end I kept going, I kept living and loving, I never gave up. I have too much to live for.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I go by the stage name, iiamchos3n. The iiam in the name is my acronym for illustrate inspiration and motivation. My name is probably the most thing I’m proud of because it aligns with who I am as a person and the body of work that I’ve put into my craft. What sets me apart from others is my genuine authenticity. Especially in my music 🎼

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Everything I believe happens for a reason, whether good or bad, I feel like I’ve had a lot of success when I’m not overstepping boundaries and that’s usually when good luck plays its role, I usually experience bad luck from lack of not knowing certain positions I possibly find myself in but I always try to find the good even In The bad and flip the narrative. It’s played a major role in my life because it’s actually shaped me into the person I’m meant to be.
