Hidden Gems: Meet Khadija Julia Al Amiri of Al Amiri Mi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadija Julia Al Amiri.

Hi Khadija Julia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since 2014 I become a single mother.
I was upbuilding self employed towards entrepreneur lifestyle. I’ve always hated working for someone else just not my thing. It’s only my thing if it’s a good team with respectful team.
Ever since I’ve been a young girl always been fascinated about skincare.
In 2014 I studied Hijama cupping therapy and nutritional therapist to combine together for successful treatments towards clients. And of course skin and hairloss specialist courses up to level 7 aesthetic practitioner.
I move to Dubai in 2015 opened a small clinic on my own as a single mother. I made a strong decision to travel while being single mother and to work. Al Amiri Mi came around with the name of my business.
I was the first woman in UAE to do Hijama as only men was performing this treatment in the Middle East. I would treat women in the royal family too.
Then I would just travel to see hmm! I can’t do a pop up clinic here.
So I expanded to Izmir turkey, Oman, tangier Morocco, Spain and now LA.
So beautiful to work and travel.
I studied more treatments with a cosmetic surgeon Dott R Amore in Italy following to help his company Love Cosmedical out with his products in Italy. Now am an international trainer for his company. This helped Al Amiri Mi grow even more.

Reason I move to LA
I got married to my best friend in January 2024 we should have got married like 5 years ago but god has better plans.
Am sure I was a very driven independent woman who liked the idea of marriage but didn’t want to be married at the time. But my husband was still available for me so it’s meant to be. We are so happy together.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been up and down
Am very fast to think on the go with solutions even if am low on products for treatments. I always say if there is a will there is a way. I always look at a challenge like it’s easy, because if I look at it as it’s hard it will be very stressful.

Laws in California for example are different to uk within my industry of work
So I’ve been planning for a few years to launch my skincare line. It will be launching soon.

Some days I will make $1000s some days I will me $100 a day. That’s life as an entrepreneur.
I’ve been in a bad situation where my treatment room was double booked and I had to think on the spot to change location address for client within hours.
I’ve had one client have a problem with a treatment due to not following the aftercare guidelines correctly. Women can sue you in America. In other countries it’s different but I made sure all my clients are like myself I look after them very well.
I’ve had women say oh I will pay you via bank transfer and didn’t. So I will double charge them on the next appointment.
(. Reason my card machine was broken once ) even knowing cash on arrival.
But I will always find a way in a professional manner to adjust a situation.

I’ve had flight delays for me to be running behind and all. But we smile and but some lipstick on and smile to make women glow.

Am proud of the woman I’ve become and what I manifested in I’ve turn and still turning into real reality.
