Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Dani Margeaux (Tan) – Among other things, I’m an Akashic Records Master, Reiki Master and teacher, psychic, galactic and cosmic frequency energy healer, gridworker, sound healer, and ultimately a lover of life! I spent 2023 reprogramming my subconscious thought patterns to make them aligned with my current core values. I think as we re-parent ourselves and awaken to our true essence of unconditional love, we can heal the karmic wounds of past lives and embody our highest potential. I believe that our purpose on this Earth is to be our most authentic expression, and my mission is to guide and inspire you on your journey to becoming the truest version of yourself. My core values are connection, authenticity, vulnerability, and compassion, and I integrate these values into living a joyful and intentional life, while also leaning into all the human pleasures!
Born of an immigrant parent, I was stuck in the deeply engrained belief that I had to work hard to make money and be successful. My life seemed predestined, guided by my parents’ decisions and societal expectations. I was living the over-achieving, go-go masculine paradigm my whole life. At the age of 23, a car accident served as the catalyst that changed my life. Shortly after, I began having severe back pain which ultimately lasted 6 years of my life. At the time, I was playing basketball weekly, backpacked often, and ran half marathons. I was the most active in my life, yet I was in the most pain of my life. I would wake up not knowing if I could attend these activities until the day of. Having a shortlist of chiropractors I became dependent on was my saving grace when I would wake up with severe pain on a day I needed to be strong and healthy.
MY LIFE CHANGED WHEN…
Through a friend’s recommendation, I began seeing an energy chiropractor who astoundingly pinpointed the exact seat I was sitting in and which foot I had on the brake pedal at the time of my accident 6 years prior, during our first session. I was blown away that my body could tell him so much. Our body is the unconscious and stores whatever trauma, emotions, and experiences we are not resourced enough to process and heal. Through energy healing, coaching, movement, acupuncture, and other healing modalities, I not only addressed my symptoms but healed the root causes.
Growing up, I didn’t really have strong beliefs of my own—I mostly went with the crowd, shaped by whatever was around me. But over time, I learned how to slow down and really ask myself: What do I believe in? That question became a compass. I realized I had always had a powerful intuition—an inner gut feeling that told me what was right or wrong, what I should or shouldn’t do. And whenever I didn’t listen to it, life became harder, messier, more confusing. The more I trusted myself, the more life began to open up with ease and flow.
Eventually, I came to understand that this inner knowing wasn’t just a “gut feeling”—it was my claircognizance, a psychic sense I had been tuned into since childhood. I’ve always been deeply connected to the divine, even when I didn’t have the words or framework to describe it. Learning to trust that connection—my own channel—has been one of the most liberating and empowering parts of my journey.
Today, I’m redefining happiness, fulfillment, and freedom on my own terms. I recognize that healing is not only vital for our personal well-being but also for our lineage. The profound connection between mind, body, and spirit has led me to shift from the relentless pursuit of Western success to a harmonious, integrated path guided by intuition. I’ve transcended survival mode to prioritize alignment with my core values, taking charge of my aligned path, my destiny.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but I wouldn’t trade the path I’ve taken for anything. One of the biggest challenges I faced was choosing to leave the traditional 9-to-5 world in pursuit of something radically different: a career rooted in spirituality, healing, and intuition. It was terrifying at first. I was doing things differently than what most people around me understood, and in many ways, I felt like I was swimming upstream.
Early on, I experienced a lot of judgment — even persecution — for my beliefs and spiritual practices. People questioned what I was doing, and I often felt misunderstood or dismissed. But deep down, I knew I had to stay true to what I felt called to do. I had this unwavering inner conviction, this knowing that wouldn’t let me go. So I kept going.
Now, four years into this path, that same conviction has turned into unshakeable belief. I’ve built a business and a life aligned with my soul’s truth, and I’ve found success beyond my wildest dreams. The most beautiful part is that the people who once questioned me now respect me. There’s a deep sense of reverence and recognition because I stuck with it — because I trusted myself. And honestly, that’s been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.
