Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabeehah Idroos.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi, my name is Sabeehah. I began my journey in the beauty industry during the early rise of social media, around 2016–2017, while starting my undergraduate studies in Santa Monica as a Pre-Med student. Growing up in a South Asian household, academic achievement was heavily emphasized. For a long time, I believed that academic success was the only path available to me.
But even as a little girl, I was drawn to creativity—paint, pencils, crayons—I felt the spark of artistic expression early on. Still, as a first-generation American, I stuck to the more traditional path, fully aware of the responsibilities that came with my parents’ sacrifices.
Makeup always fascinated me. Like many others from my generation, I was completely immersed in the golden era of YouTube—excited to talk with friends about the latest uploads from creators like BeyondBeautyStar, StilaBabe09, JuicyStar07, and Bubzbeauty. These women inspired me and planted the seeds for something more.
I would often do my makeup in front of the mirror, narrating each step as if I were filming a tutorial. But growing up as a Desi girl, having an online presence felt out of reach—like something reserved for others.
That changed in 2018 when I decided to record my first video using just my iPhone. I had no idea that this small step would transform not only my confidence but open doors I never imagined. By 2020, I began sharing content more consistently on TikTok—from skincare and beauty to lifestyle. It became a therapeutic outlet, a way to connect with others during a time when we were all craving community. That online community quickly became so precious to me.
Around the same time, I transitioned from Pre-Med to Nursing School. Tuition was always a concern, so I looked for ways to support myself while still feeding my creativity and love for beauty. I landed a remote role as a Social Media Manager for a beauty startup, which gave me the hands-on experience I needed to grow further within the industry. That opportunity helped me bridge my passions with my purpose—and made what once felt like a distant dream, a tangible reality.
Over the years, I’ve come to deeply understand the importance of representation. As a little girl, I used to think, “someone like me” could never be seen online, let alone land a brand deal. I want to be part of the movement changing that narrative—to help redefine beauty beyond traditional norms and societal expectations.
Today, I continue to create, to connect, and to inspire. My mission is to empower the next generation—especially those who were given a limited map of where they can go—to keep pushing forward. Breaking traditional norms to build a healthier, more inclusive future is something I’ll always advocate for. And to anyone who feels like they just aren’t good enough, you are. There are so many hearts waiting to be touched by yours just keep pushing
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve definitely faced challenges adapting to the constantly changing algorithms. Lately, I feel like I’ve lost a bit of connection with my community due to these shifts and the reduced visibility of my page.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love sharing all things beauty and skincare—especially discovering that perfect blend for a seamless, glowing base. I’m also passionate about home decor, pottery, and putting together outfit ensembles. What I’m most proud of, though, is the amazing little community I’ve built. Connecting with them is truly the most rewarding part for me.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Usually when it comes to work I receive DMs or emails requesting to collaborate with their brands.
