Rising Stars: Meet Cristina Jimenez of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina Jimenez

Hi Cristina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Your Story

I was born in Guadalajara and spent most of my life in Tijuana, a vibrant border city that shaped me in unique ways. From a young age, I had the privilege of moving between two cultures — regularly crossing into San Diego — which gave me access to the best of both worlds. That blend of perspectives taught me to be adaptable, resilient, and open-hearted.

By profession, I’m a Civil Engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration and a second Master’s in BIM Management. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for structure, systems, and smart design — but I’m also someone who connects deeply with energy, emotion, and purpose.

That’s where Morrigu Star and Chriss Winter Blogger come in.

Chriss Winter Blogger is a platform I started back in 2014 to share my personal journey and passions — including wellness, health, lifestyle, and travel. It became a space for storytelling and connection, where I could explore my experiences and express the many sides of who I am.

Morrigu Star is the more mystical and spiritual extension of that path — the name I chose to honor my intuitive side, my connection to the moon and stars, and the internal strength I had to summon during some of the most challenging times in my life.

After going through a painful divorce and a devastating accident that affected someone I loved deeply, I had to start over from scratch. I lost my sense of stability and had to rebuild every part of my life with courage, focus, and trust in my vision.

And I did. I invested in my education, rebuilt my career from the ground up, and kept my creative flame alive. I’m now a full-time Project Engineer, while continuing to grow my platforms — creating content, sharing my voice, and connecting with others through authenticity and purpose.

Today, I live in Los Angeles, thriving between both of my worlds: grounded and cosmic, logical and spiritual, building real structures while dreaming of galaxies.

Through Morrigu Star and Chriss Winter, I hope to remind others that they don’t have to fit into one box — we’re allowed to be complex, evolving, and wildly alive.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has had deep ups and downs, and I’ve had to rebuild more than once. One of the biggest challenges was going through a painful divorce that left me emotionally and financially drained. Around the same time, someone I loved had a serious accident, and everything in my life shifted — I lost my home, my sense of stability, and had to start from zero.

There were moments I felt like I had lost everything — except my will to keep going. I didn’t have a safety net, so I leaned on what I did have: my education, my work ethic, and my vision for something greater. I went back to school, worked hard, and began to slowly rebuild my life from the ground up.

Emotionally, it was also a challenge to heal from the kind of relationships that make you doubt your worth. I had to learn how to trust myself again, believe in my own power, and create a new story — one where I wasn’t waiting to be chosen, but instead choosing myself.

Those struggles are a part of me, but they don’t define me. They gave me the depth and strength I bring to everything I do — whether it’s a construction project, a blog post, or a spiritual ritual under the moon.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Under the name Morrigu Star, I create content that blends spirituality, intuition, and empowerment. I’m known for merging mystical elements like astrology and moon phases with grounded guidance for healing, self-reflection, and conscious living. My platforms — especially Chriss Winter Blogger — explore wellness, health, lifestyle, and travel through a soul-centered lens.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just speak from theory — I speak from lived experience. Everything I create is rooted in my own journey of personal growth, emotional resilience, and deep transformation. I’ve moved through heartbreak, loss, major life shifts, and still found the strength to choose myself and create a life with meaning and intention.

I specialize in making spirituality feel relatable and grounded. Whether I’m sharing about lunar energy, intuitive rituals, or personal reflections, my goal is always to empower others — especially women — to embrace all sides of who they are.

What I’m most proud of is turning challenges into connection. I’ve created a space where others can feel seen, supported, and reminded that even in the hardest seasons, we carry the light we need within us.

How do you think about luck?
I believe in a kind of cosmic timing more than random luck — that the universe places things in our path when we’re ready, or when it’s time for us to grow. There have definitely been moments in my life that felt like setbacks or “bad luck” — like major life shifts after my divorce, or moments when everything I knew was suddenly uncertain. But now I see those experiences as redirections. They stripped away what wasn’t meant for me and helped reveal the strength I didn’t know I had.

On the other hand, I’ve experienced “lucky” breaks — moments when someone believed in me, when a door opened at just the right time, or when opportunities aligned with things I had only dared to imagine. But I’ve learned that those moments only have power when you’re ready for them. Luck alone doesn’t carry you — your vision, preparation, and inner work do.

So yes, luck has played a role in my life — but I believe it met me halfway, because I kept showing up, even when no one was watching.
