Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessie Loft

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Loft

Hi Jessie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I never imagined that shaping brows would shape my entire life—but here we are. My journey into permanent makeup started during one of the most challenging times in my life: navigating single motherhood, working multiple jobs, and trying to build something for myself and my daughter. I’ve always loved the beauty industry (shoutout to my MAC days!), but I wanted to do more than just makeup—I wanted to create confidence that lasts.

That’s what led me to permanent makeup. There’s something so powerful about enhancing someone’s natural beauty in a way that makes them feel effortlessly put together every day. It’s not just about doing brows, eyeliner or correcting scars; it’s about empowerment, self-love, and giving people that extra boost of confidence.

Opening Fluff & Ink was a dream I didn’t even realize I had until I was in the middle of making it happen. Now, I get to wake up every day and do what I love—helping people feel beautiful in their own skin. And trust me, there’s nothing more rewarding than that.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey wasn’t easy, but I refused to let that stop me. When I started in permanent makeup, I was juggling being a single mom, running a full salon in the middle of a pandemic and trying to build something from the ground up—without a safety net. There were nights I doubted myself, wondering if I was making the right choice, if I could really turn this passion into something real.
But every struggle, every setback, every moment of exhaustion was just another reason to push harder. I wasn’t just doing this for myself—I was doing it to create a better future for my daughter and to prove to myself that I could build something meaningful.
I poured everything into my craft, constantly learning, improving, and showing up even when it felt impossible. And slowly but surely, my passion turned into a career. Clients started trusting me with their brows (all permanent makeup needs) and their confidence became my biggest motivation.

Now, Fluff & Ink isn’t just a business; it’s a symbol of resilience, dedication, and the belief that no matter how hard things get, you can create the life you dream of. This journey challenged me in every way, but I wouldn’t change a thing—because it led me right here.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart as an artist isn’t just my technique—it’s the experience, the connection, and the intention behind every set of brows or PMU I create. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all beauty; I take the time to understand each client’s unique features, lifestyle, and personal style to create something that truly complement them. My goal isn’t just to create beautiful brows—it’s to help people feel effortlessly confident every single day.

I also pride myself on continuously learning and evolving. The beauty industry is always changing, and I make it a priority to stay ahead of the latest techniques to ensure my clients get the best results possible. But beyond the technical skills, I know how vulnerable it can feel to trust someone with your face. That’s why I create a space where my clients feel comfortable, heard, and excited about their transformation.
