Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Jayy

Hi Sharon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started creating content at 19 back in 2019 on TikTok making dancing, couple, and funny videos just for fun. This grew my TikTok to over 200K followers in a short span of time which ignited my career as a content creator. During that time I wasn’t making any income from the content I was creating but I knew I wanted this to be something I can monetize from. In 2022 I started being a content creator for brands social media platforms such as Kohl’s, Grocery Outlet, Uoma Beauty, Hally Hair, Beauty Bakerie and much more while still trying to make content creation on my own platform the goal and while being in college. In 2023 I decided to start posting more intentional content around my lifestyle. Mid 2023 I was introduced to TikTok shop which changed the entire game for me. I transitioned to being a full time TikTok Shop creator in about 3 months. In 2024 I successfully made six figures on TikTok Shop alone at 24 years old. Now I’m focusing on creating streams of income as a creator on other platforms additional to TikTok such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. I love creating content so I was just waiting on Gods timing to bring this life I’ve been working so hard for into fruition. I’ve barely even scratched the surface, I can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some struggles I had along the way definitely had to be the patience of waiting for what I was working so hard for to come into fruition. Becoming a content creator is not an overnight success situation and it can be a tough mental battle waiting for the reward that may not may not ever come. Another struggle I had was being my own boss at a young age. Creating my own schedule and working whenever I want is something I still struggle with today because it is too much freedom of choice. I’ve been prioritizing creating a concrete work schedule for a while now that works for my brain and life which has been a rollercoaster. Burnout is real and having too much freedom around my schedule has caused me to be burnt out multiple times.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a content creator and influencer specializing in the app TikTok with my niche being around my lifestyle. I’m known for my viral TikTok series “Teaching my Boyfriend TikToks” and for creating a series of very unhinged funny videos. I am also known for for being a top TikTok Shop creator. I am most proud of being my most authentic unhinged self on social media and motivating other girls to live their best lives. I am also super proud of making content creation my 6 figure career at the age of 24. What sets me apart from others is my relatable, funny, unhinged personality that can make anyone feel like we are besties.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that Los Angeles is full of go getters who are hungry for a better life. I’m from the Bay Area, California and something that always draws me back to Los Angeles is how motivating the energy is here. It is a very fast paced city that has so many young creatives with aspirations of grand success. There’s so much to explore in this city for any interests a person may have. Something I like least about this city is definitely the traffic, I loathe the traffic, and also the high cost of living.
