Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Martow
Hi Josh, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Alex and I spent our careers managing teams and working on projects with many stakeholders – I worked at a startup and Alex worked at a public company (Upwork), but we both ran into the same problems. There were 100s of project management solutions, but no matter which one we used we found ourselves chasing people down about their work.
Josh even earned himself a reputation at his last job for aggressively hounding people who ignored critical internal communications. We hadn’t met, but we both set out to build a solution that would finally solve this problem once and for all.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not!
Building a product that truly solves this problem has taken a lot of trial and error. We actually started by building on top of gmail, but then realized that we could make a much better product inside Slack.
We’ve been impressed with Chaser, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
