Today we’d like to introduce you to David Groode
Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I was 19 years old I went for my first reading with a psychic. It was a very profound Reading and during my session he told me that when I was in my mid twenties I was going to be doing Readings and work similar to what he was doing. I wanted to dismiss that part of my session, it just didn’t make sense with what I pictured for myself in life or with what I would be doing for my career.
At 20 years old I started taking classes in shamanism and healing and it opened me up. The teacher who I was studying with knew that I had a gift of being able to see intuitively. I used to drive her to where she would be teaching and she would ask me to connect with the spirit guides and tell her who was there, what they were saying and to tell her what they were showing me.
This process helped me to keep my attention in two places at once and describe what I was seeing in the unseen world and what I was being shown.
Later when I was 25 I had a non specific Virus in my Liver that showed up on two liver panels and blood panels. I had a lot of physical pain and I had enough energy to go to work and I would come home and sleep. I went for Acupuncture and herbs to manage the pain.
I knew I needed to go see a Shaman who met a year before at a Medicine Wheel Gathering. After a month of calling, I finally got an appointment to see him.
I dropped everything and drove to Northern California to see him. I saw him on a Friday. He did a healing on me and told me it would get worse before it got better and that we would know by the following Wednesday if the healing worked.
That night was not that bad, however the following 2 days I had so much pain an it was so bad, I went in for a 3rd Liver Panel and Blood Panel that following Monday.
When I went in for the results that Wednesday, everything was clear. I thought that was impressive as things in the liver are not always easy to clear.
Shortly after that I had an inner voice message saying – you are being opened up – do Readings. I thought – forget it, I am not doing Readings. I was very resistant and not to mention stubborn.
So I would have pain and after all the pain would go away, I got all of these downloads of information about people. When I resisted it, I had pain and when I didn’t resist it, I would have o pain.
I started to open and work with it and explore it.
3 different groups of friends all referred me to the same woman for a Numerology Session. My response was no, I don’t think so. One Friday night, I went out with one of those groups of friends and the woman who did Numerology was there. She and I spoke and I really liked her, so I went for a Numerology Reading and it was Life Changing. We became friends and she taught me the Numerology. Originally I learned the Numerology as a Social icebreaker, yet when I saw how clear it is, it became a Life Study.
So the psychic I went to when I was 19 was right and I started doing Readings when I was very young in my mid twenties.
People used to arrive for their sessions back then and I would answer the door and they would always ask how old I was.
It took me 17 years into doing Readings for me to get clear about how the gifts worked through me. After I got clear about it all, it really changed everything. After that it took many more years to learn how to manage it, so it was not managing me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall my path has been amazing with a few learning curves along the way.
The challenges ended up being gifts to help me grow my discernment and myself.
I think one of the major challenges was that I came into it all so young. It had a lot of responsibility with it.
I think I learned how to Navigate the Spirit world first and then the material world later.
It took me longer to learn how to be in the world and to navigate it. I was always more connected to the unseen world.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I always had a huge connection with Art since I was little. Although I didn’t realize it at first, when I was a child I thought I was connecting with imaginary worlds and beings from those places as part of my play time, only to realize as I grew older that I was actually connecting with beings from other realms and dimensions.
Art still played a major background role for me in my life and I even majored in Art for my University Degree.
As a result it has had a profound impact on me and in my life with my creative, out of the box way of thinking . This allowed me to be more open with what wanted to come through in people’s Readings.
The Intuitive Readings that I do and the Numerology Sessions work like a Life Navigation GPS mechanism – which shows people the path that they are on and if they are willing to do the work, it shows the trajectory they could be on. What is in the way, what they need to clear and how to be able to make it happen. This helps people immeasurably make their best choices and decisions, manage different relationships better, and the clarity that comes through one session, can take years to arrive at in life.
After starting to do Readings – it was a discovery process for me as well and I had a surprise. I learned that I could do Profiling as well, so I work with photos that people send me all of the time.
Often times I can look at people and know what their best places would be, what their best careers would be, or what they should be studying in school. I can also see people’s gifts and talents.
What’s next?
Well, it is always in my heart to create more Art. My Art could be in a children’s story book. It is primitive and naive with bright colors. I always feel expanded when I get to create Art and I feel it uplifts people.
Yet I also believe Life is a work of Art across the board.
My Life partner Peter and I got married in 2020 and I always see us creating things together and traveling throughout the world.
We plan to take a future group to South Africa and to plan some big Speaking and Personal Development Event there as well as a retreat.
I love speaking and doing Events. I used to take groups to Peru to work with the shamans. In the future I see myself doing that again or to do some groups, talks, tours and events in other countries as well.
I see myself continuing to do individual sessions, yet I feel myself moving towards doing more teaching and group work. I think our world really needs it right now.
So I do see myself writing, and interviewing people, and doing more with Leadership, and some Men’s Groups.
I have had an on-line ladies group I have worked with now for over two years.
We are always clearing, processing and growing. So the opportunity is a high value for people.
