Rising Stars: Meet Tryce Williams of Carson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tryce Williams.

Hi Tryce, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had an innate desire and ability to help and heal people. My journey first started in college studying child development while taking classes to prepare for medical school. After graduating and working in the hospital for a little over five years, I felt really out of touch with the idea of becoming a physician. Eventually, with the help of my friend Antonio B., I worked through the confusion of what should be next for me and decided to work towards becoming a Nurse Practitioner who would incorporate holistic forms of healing into my practice. Finally confident and finding some direction, I decided to sign up for an herbalist class during the infamous quarantine of 2020 and it was during this turbulent year of darkness that the seed was planted and my passion for herbal medicine bloomed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has proven to be one of the most challenging I’ve experienced to date. Everything I thought myself to be exempt from, for some odd reason, came to humbly prove me wrong. Most people don’t know, but I quit my job at Kaiser in August of 2020 without a sure plan in mind. I literally dipped with a few dollars, a dream, and knowing that my spirit wouldn’t leave me to hang off the cliff of which it led me to leap. My journey thus far has been an accrual of loss, stress, daily tears and pep talks, lots of solitude and many humbling experiences. I’m finally growing out of the insecurity of admitting that all I do for income right now is postmates, recycling and whatever other gigs I could find just to get by. I literally went from thriving and being the giver to fighting mindsets of lack and trying to survive, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. My bank account lived in the negatives, but my mind stayed positive and my heart full of gratitude. I’ve had to leave behind a lot of people and things that no longer resonated with the vibrations of where I’m going, but life has sent me the most beautiful people that “my soul recognizes as family” (that quote being from one of them, I love you Beth!) and for that I’m eternally grateful. My mom has literally been my rock through this journey and I’m so grateful to know that if no one else does, she see’s me, supports me and rides for me- road dawgs for life! I am a person who is used to structure so being in a space where I’ve had to create that for myself from scratch sent my mind in a constant spiral of overthinking, slight bouts of anxiety and depression on what I “should and shouldn’t” be doing. It was not until I affirmed that I would fully surrender to the divine timing and flow of my life that I started to find more clarity in everything. I’m still very much so in the building phase, but I’m so grateful for the promise of a new day, each day, to grow and be great.

What matters most to you?
The most important thing to me is leading with love. Love is not just a feeling, but it is a way of being. Love is gratitude and I strongly believe the more we live in gratitude, we will continuously be provided with more reasons to be grateful. I feel that it is powerful to remind people that everything starts from within, so as long as I am embodying, being and breathing love, that’s all that is going to circulate back to me. Whenever I speak, I always refer to people as love because I see the world as one large web of mirrors of which I choose to utilize by seeing the love in me reflected in others; if I am love, you are too. It’s so important for me to reflect that energy everywhere I go because it’s such a beautiful and powerful frequency to be in. I feel that if I lead with love, I can impact others to do the same. Ultimately, love is The Keiii 🔑 and it is important to me to show people that they always have what they need and that is love.
