Rising Stars: Meet Mam Jobe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mam Jobe.

Hi Mam Jobe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Chaku Company has been one of our biggest dreams. Being able to create this dream and make it a reality has been one of our biggest accomplishments. Over five years of working in the hospital inpatient and outpatient services, we have decided to build a brand that pertains to our everyday lives from work to home. The Chaku Company is where passion, safety and comfort are our top priorities. We want you to be beautiful and comfortable while doing what you love. Choose The Chaku Company “Let’s Make Work Fun”.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has definitely not been a smooth road. There were many obstacles and challenges along the way. But the important part is that it got done. Obstacles and challenges stimulate growth, and I could definitely say throughout the course of building this business from ground up, I’ve seen so much growth in myself and all the great ideas that came along.

I would say that the hardest part was figuring out when to start. This has definitely been an idea that I’ve been planning going on for four years now. Getting the ball rolling was tough. Because then you have to include the financial aspect and putting a large effort of time into it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work in the Medical Field, Surgical Services.

I would say that what I’m most proud of is how optimistic I am. Throughout everything good or bad, I always stay hopeful. Which is indeed a good mindset to have especially in this business, Realizing that some days could be good, some days could be bad. If you want it, you’ll go for it and accomplish it.

I would say that what sets me apart from others is that I am my biggest critique.

What’s next?
My plan for the future with The Chaku Company is adding some more fun accessories for work, surgical hats and some new scrub styles. The goal is to expand, I want the company to be in stores, that is definitely something that we are working on right now.
