Rising Stars: Meet Keldamuzik Diva

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keldamuzik Diva.

Keldamuzik, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello my beautiful people! My name is Keldamuzik a.k.a. Diva. I am a music artist, actress, host and now entrepreneur of my new line of Berets called Tamz. Born and raised in San Jose now I reside in the Oakland area that’s what Keldamuzik was born. I’ve been in this industry my entire life taking photos acting classes modeling etc. I’ve also started producing films as well as acting and other people’s projects. Aside from all of that, I’m pushing Tamz because no one has ever branded a beret before especially within the black community. I think it’s a great accessory that enhances a woman’s beauty or a man’s handsomeness.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. The music industry can chew you up and spit you out the same thing with showbiz. It’s either you want to do this for the love or you don’t. People who think that they are going to become a star overnight and be rich it doesn’t work that way. You have to want to be in this game for yourself. I love making music acting modeling and I do it for the love and because it’s fun. It also helps me bring out different personalities within me. And as far as launching my berets it was a very rough road. I received a letter from Disney because at the time, I was calling my Berets Tinks and it was too close to their brand Tink according to them because they have a brand which is an apparel line and too similar to the Tinks Berets that I had so now I have to relaunch With new name Tamz, from Website products marketing, etc. But the reward is the amazing feeling that you get when people purchase your products and they actually like it. That makes it all worth the trouble that you go through.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m known for being a music artist and now I’m down for many things that I’ve been adding to my résumé. In the entertainment industry, you kind of have to expand your talents even if you have to learn them. Because nowadays everyone does it all music TV film documentaries commercials play theater etc. What I’m most proud of in my career is I’ve always distinguished myself from the sound of my music the way I wrap my lyrical ability and also my stage name. And now that I’ve launched my online of Berets with a new name that also sets me apart from other artists that have merchandise.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes! Don’t expect anything to happen overnight and you have to be patient. Try to build a team around yourself with people that you know really well and that you trust. Also, continue to hone your craft and try to wear as many hats as possible to enhance your career. That even means becoming your own manager and managing your schedule and trying to obtain opportunities for yourself.
