Rising Stars: Meet Jazmine Danielle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Danielle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started collecting crystals in 2016 after my boyfriend gifted me my first rose quartz crystal bracelet. I would collect and learn about the healing benefits of each crystal. I was then encouraged to begin wire wrapping the crystals and after a while, I had amassed this beautiful collection of crystal jewelry. Towards the end of 2016, I started planning the launch of my crystal jewelry line and in January 2017, Queendom Cultivation was born.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been fairly smooth for us. That’s partly how I know I’m working in my purpose. I haven’t faced any large obstacles that I haven’t been able to overcome, whether that be financial, emotional, spiritual, everything has aligned beautifully on this journey. I had to get out of my own way and release the thoughts that this wouldn’t work out. I was working full-time in 2017 up until I was laid off in May. I decided to go full-time into queendom cultivation after that, and I haven’t looked back since nor have I had to.

I also think that it’s about outlook. My perspective of how I see things, instead of as failures, but lessons keep me going in the right direction. Throughout this entire time of owning this business, I’ve received no financial support from any major institutions. We’ve been open for four years and have had to constantly invest in ourselves over and over again each time paying off more than the last. Our success has been solely off of the support of our community and the consistency of our brand.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a jeweler. I create wire-wrapped crystal jewelry in intricate weaving patterns. I am known for my crystal pendants and rings which are intricate but complementary to the crystal. I’m most proud of my commitment to the craft. No other jewelry form has come to me as easily as this has.

I am the owner of the first and only Black-owned crystal shop in Las Vegas. We opened 3/13 and we are known for having the most diverse variety of raw and polished crystals in the city.

I am a doula. I assist and support expecting mothers through their pregnancies and deliveries.

What matters most to you?
Community matters to me most. Our society would like us to believe that individualism is a sustainable way to live but it’s not. We originated from people in communities; village minded people that came together to sustain, support, and uplift each other. We are nothing without our neighbor.
