Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Stewart-Estrada.
Christian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always loved sports growing up. Rather I played sports recreational or organized, I just wanted to play. Basketball attracted my attention the most out of all the sports. Listening to basketball on 710 ESPN growing up with my dad in the car helped develop my fandom for the game while also exposing me to the sports talk world. Ever since 2017, I’ve been on a mission to let the voices of all fans be heard on The Occasional Hoopers podcast.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a podcast it should be easy right? I thought it would be easy to do and that everything would fall into place. Oh, how I was wrong. Scheduling guests, finding time for your co-host, locating a proper studio, and funding it all yourself; yeah it’s not easy. Hey but anything worth having isn’t easy at all. Even now, four years later we are still reinventing our show so we can better connect with the people. So no, it hasn’t been a smooth road but I’m happy to be driving my own car down this road.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So as an entrepreneur, I always have my hands in different projects. Rather it’s real estate, transportation services, security services, or event planning. I’m always trying to provide something for the people. The Occasional Hoopers is my first project and longest-running project, I plan on continuing to grow this until I can replace myself as host and just so production. But until then, the audience are stuck with me as the host. Stay on the lookout for a drama comedy in the making, “The Three Wise Macs”. Something for the people so that we can communicate better with the opposite sex. So I’m in the producer/writer position at this point of my entrepreneurial journey.
I only want to see others win, I know people can feel that energy whenever we connect on a project, business, music, and even when it’s playtime. I’m looking to find a solution so we can make it happen.
What makes you happy?
Waking up. Simply because everyone didn’t get the opportunity to live another 24.
