Rising Stars: Meet Alexander Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Jackson.

Hi Alexander, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story started back in high school. For so long leading up until my freshman year, I felt like I was living a life unauthentic to who I am. I was involved in activities I didn’t enjoy and spent my time trying to make myself someone I wasn’t. I found dance in high school and it changed my life. I began to find myself and express how I truly felt inside.

Soon after I found dance, my psyche starting screaming again for more ways to free myself of psychological discord. The discord that was being manifested through constant denial of my true self. I turned to drugs and went down a long and hard two-year road of addiction. This was the change in my life that put me on the path I am on today. Recovery was otherworldly and after long spiritual, physical, mental and emotional recoveries, I am now three years sober and the happiest Iv ever been. I am so grateful to my family, friends, supporters and the universe for giving me another chance and for lifting me up, and I wake up every day excited, grateful, and beyond ready to embrace the day. I now live in Woodland Hills, California achieving dreams and experiencing the life I always dreamed of. I am a dancer, actor, model, influencer, healer, and spiritual guide. I am an enthusiast for being the healthiest you can be and I try to help others see the beauty in themselves. My story is infinite though, this is just the beginning.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I struggled with identity for a long time which led me down a path of addiction. I had a horrible drug addiction for two long years. I have also struggled with getting in touch with my core and for a long time searched in every possible place to find myself. (Except for the one place you can actually find yourself… inside you).

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I consider myself an artist in a lot of different ways. I’m a professionally trained dancer in acrobatics, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and heels. I am a character performer for Insomniac which is one of the most exhilarating jobs I have in which you meet and bond with people of all kinds in the most embracing, loving environments. I am also super passionate about creating wild and fun content online as I’m known for putting out crazy, unique videos and other content on social media. Something I’m extremely passionate about that not everyone knows is I’m an herbalist. I make herbal teas and other medicinal remedies through natural herbs and plants. I hope to open my own herbal practice one day. Above everything else, I am most passionate about my spiritual journey and helping others find their path of light, trust their process, and stay present.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’d just like everyone to know that you are loved. I want everyone to know that you are capable of happiness, and you’re capable of achieving it right now. Happiness has nothing to do with what is on the exterior. Happiness comes from within. I encourage everyone to spend time discovering that true joy inside of them. Realize that the only “happiness” that comes from outside things, i.e., material items, success, status, etc., is a temporary “happiness”. Long-lasting happiness and pure joy come from within.
