Meet Zoe Trujillo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoe Trujillo.

Hi Zoe, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My mother is who gave me my inspiration in the beauty industry. She was a hairstylist! As a little girl, every time I would see her all glammed up, it would take my breath away!

So I would practice makeup on myself every day, which transitioned to doing makeup on my friends & family, then all of a sudden having people who noticed my craft reaching out!

I was 18 at the time, & I knew in my soul being an artist was going to be my journey. My first challenge was getting into MAC! As I did. I worked as a MAC artist for 3 years, 18-21.

My next challenge was pushing my craft to become a freelancer, and here I am now.. 22-26. I love being a makeup artist. I get to be free of my creativity and work with beautiful people who love/appreciate my work. Being an artist, there is NO limit to what you can do or love to do.

Now in this chapter of my journey, I’m tapping into different ways of my artistry. Such as modeling, creative directing, photography, etc. Again, there are NO limitations when you are an artist at heart!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Makeup Artist! I specialize in beauty makeup! & in my work, I am known for the blend of colors, the SHARPNESS of my liners, and the glow of the skin!

I am most proud of always wanting to grow & learn in my field. I can always do better and be better! What sets me apart is not just the artistry, but who I am as a person. My energy is contagious!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If this is your passion, GO FOR IT!!!!! There is ALWAYS welcoming with open arms in this industry for artists! Allow yourself to experience it! Allow yourself to learn and be teachable!
