Today we’d like to introduce you to Zayy Dogg.
Zayy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m an upcoming young artist and I believe in my craft I feel my music will shift and change some peoples life’s I just need the right push to get my music out there and connected to people I do have a fan base right now I call my (dawgs) they all support me 100% I am a lyrical beast I know my rhymes and music will hit the game like Irma I’ve been rapping and doing artistry for a while. Birmingham AL native Zayydogg makes his early bbq debut with the release of his new single “How I’m feeling.“ this single presents itself as a vibe that Zayydogg created using several tones and effects to make a wave. After doing several shows in Los Angeles on the house of music tour Zayydogg’s been building up quite a buzz. A buzz big enough to land one of his records on the cw’s new superhero series black lighting, which is lit! No pun intended.
Stream my new single “Alone” I am a well educated young man but music has always been apart of my life growing up I was lays around music my brothers never finished school so all they had was music so growing up around brothers who only listen to music it grows on you and basically I just enjoy all things rap like rap is me and I am rap I’ve lived the culture I am the culture there’s no faking to it I’ve always known I would somehow make a way for my family being raised in a foster car home is not the best of living due to my mother being on drugs random my sisters and brothers where placed in foster care my mom has six kids all together I am the youngest of six kids so imagine having to compete with five other kids who are trying to make away for the family so this is the only way I know how to feed my family and this is the way I’m going like I said I believe in myself 1000% I know my worth and I know will make any label happy I’m hardworking and determined I’m ready to show the world I am hiphop culture it’s just something about music and i’m also a writer too so that’s a plus on my field.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been the smoothest road but I will say when you know how to drive and dodge those bumps in the road it simply becomes as smooth as you want it to be, coming from Birmingham Alabama you learn to adapt to your surroundings growing up and always having a feeling to make it out is enough of a struggle of how the road has been, but as of now go stream my new single “Alone” I love all my Dawgs keep supporting me you guys keep me going.
What else should our readers know?
Rapping and just adding my own sauce and flavor to things.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my brand being bigger and better I see myself at. Mogul status you know someone who people look up to feel good and know there is a way out no more cloudy days.
