Zakir, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Kolkata capital city of West Bengal state, India. I was raised in a middle-class family and like every other middle-class boy or girl I had some dreams but because I was the first child of my father and mother they had a lot of expectations from me. My father wanted me to study well so I can get a decent job where my mother wanted me to follow my dreams.

She got married in her 20s and being an Indian married mother she had to take care of the family in priority but she always wanted to be an artist. So she asked me to live her life and from childhood she put me in all kind of sports like swimming, football, taekwondo, cricket. My schedule was little tough in childhood,Early morning  I use to go for my swimming classes then school then I had to do other activities like  taekwondo, football and cricket classes. When I turned 16, I completed my secondary school and I started looking for a job but because I was too young then my cousin brother helped me to find a  job for me  I worked there couple of months but I didn’t wanted to sacrifice my dreams so I left that job.

Just after that I got dropped out from my college and that was the struggling period for me and my family after few months  I started working with my father and studying at the same time but I didn’t sacrificed my passion. I was playing football and cricket locally and by the age of 22 and I raised enough money and I joined football academy in Manchester England. I went there to live my dream and it turned out great for me from our academy we got chance to get trained under Michael Carrick in Manchester United. I was in England until the age of 23 it was very tough for me to make it professional In England so I had to come back India and I started looking for other academies where I can make it professional I went to Germany Europe I was training there with an academy and I started planning with professional teams too but I couldn’t make it too 1st division and my visa expired so I had to come back in India and I started working again then I realized that I am born for something else so I moved to Mumbai the city of dreams in India.

My friend circle was from show business so after spending few months there I managed to convince myself and I followed one of my dream of becoming an actor. I joined acting school in Mumbai but I was not confident enough to do it in front of many people so I searched about best acting School’s in world and one day in night club I meet some professional actors. They suggested me if I really want to be an actor there’s only one place in world HOLLYWOOD, California so I applied for the lee Strastberg theater and film acting school and I got selected and I moved to LA after coming here I realized that this is the place I was always dreaming about which I never realized before. I meet people from different cultures countries and most of them knew why they are here it took me some time to understand the work but my friends helped me a lot. I am studying here from past one year and I got some lifetime bonding friendships now I am planning to move permanently in California LA so I can pursue my hidden secret dream of becoming an actor.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
