Meet Yeranoui ‘Noui’ Dzhigneyan of Get Naturally Fit with Noui

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yeranoui ‘Noui’ Dzhigneyan.

Hi Yeranoui ‘Noui’, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Movement always was and will continue to be a large part of my life. I spent my childhood years alternating between gymnastics and swimming classes every day after school. The balance between school, work, and sports began at an early age but it never felt like a chore because I truly enjoyed it. A few years later, I started dance lessons and immediately fell in love. Dance allowed me to express myself in ways I didn’t know was possible. It gave me the opportunity to not only form lifelong friendships but to also discover new cultures.

In college, I decided to major in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science and I can honestly say it’s been the best decision I have made. Using the knowledge that I had gained and continue to gain, I started working with clients one on one. I fell in love with seeing how something so simple like exercise can have such a big impact on someone’s life. If I train my mind, my body will follow. That’s the motto I use with my clients to show that even though your body says, “I’m tired,” the mind can push further. I love that by sharing my experiences and continuing to strengthen my mind and body, I can help others begin their own journey to strength.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Even though I was very active growing up, I had never stepped foot in a gym. I had always been curious about lifting weights but never had the guidance nor the confidence to go alone. However, I was ready for the challenge. Oftentimes, I found myself as the only female on the weight room floor for my early morning workouts. Other times, I found there was a lack of understanding between the mind to body connection in the fitness industry. The idea of pushing yourself to the ultimate limit and ignoring signs that the body is communicating didn’t sit well with me. I started to include things in my routine that would better my health and fitness overall (goal planning, balanced nutrition, rest, etc.) and learned quickly that this is what the fitness industry is missing. I started to include these things with my clients as well and I have been loving seeing the positive impact it has had on others.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Get Naturally Fit with Noui?
I’m a kinesiologist who views health as a combination of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. During one on one sessions, I teach others how to be completely present, internalizing how the body and mind feel, and respond to certain effort levels. My training approach is really about having my clients be more intuitive and in tune with their bodies. I keep the workouts challenging but never to the point of exhaustion. I value the importance of quality sleep, a balanced nutrition, and having a healthy relationship with exercise. I believe health and fitness is much more than working out and meal prepping. I truly want my clients and others to feel confident and comfortable with their bodies from inside out. I offer one on one private sessions as well as an online program, Body & Soul: The 6 Week Wellness Program.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up in an active family, playing outdoors was a huge part of my life. I really enjoyed spending time with my family while we went to the park to ride bikes, roller skate, and play numerous games on a warm summer day. Those are moments I truly treasure because I think it shaped who I am today. Staying active, spending time with family, etc. – it’s really the simple things in life that have the most effect on us and I cherish these moments forever.
