Meet Yari Rincon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yari Rincon.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Yari. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
At some point in my life, around 2008, my weight was a little over 190lbs. I was not feeling good with myself physically and emotionally. I struggled with my weight most of my 20’s and, like any other women out there, I tried almost every weight loss program there was. But, in June 2013, I decided it was enough. I was a busy mom, working full time as an Engineer with a two year old and still overweight. At that time, I hired a coach to help me lose weight and in three months, people started noticing my progress, and other moms were asking me for help. At that time, I decided to support other moms like me to join me on my journey. I spent two years as a Beachbody Coach. I was able to lose 30 lbs. and I was feeling great but I didn’t want to depend on a shake and five to seven workout days to help me keep the weight off. I was convinced there was a better way. I was so passionate about helping others and finding a solution that was sustainable and could be part of a lifestyle instead of another program for weight loss.

Later on, I decided to leave Beachbody with the dream of building my own brand. I hired a recognized fitness coach, trying to improve myself and learn from an experienced fitness trainer but there was something missing on that coaching relationship. Her approach was towards fitness competitors and she gave me a pre-set meal plan without much guidance on why I was eating the way she wanted me to and long workout routines with minimal follow up. I was missing the coaching and motivation portion I had from Beachbody and an approach tailored to lifestyle women. Her coaching style wasn’t for me. I was super busy with my daughter and still working full time I needed something I could sustain and make it part of my lifestyle.

After that experience, I wanted to educate myself on fitness and nutrition so I went on to get myself certified as a personal trainer, learned about nutrition, and started experimenting with myself last year (2019). I was able to transform my body composition just by tailoring my nutrition to my personal needs with a flexible approach and working out only three days a week focused on weight lifting with no cardio.

I knew there was a better way for lifestyle women that just wanted to feel healthy and good on their own skin without killing themselves. To enhance my nutrition knowledge, earlier this year, I started to work on my nutrition coaching certification and hired business coaches with online fitness coaching experience to help me launched my own program “The 90 day Mamacita Formula” to help Hispanic busy moms lose weight without giving up food they love like wine and pizza!

My program launch has been a success! I have already 13 online clients since my program launched in May and they are already having great success stories in a very short time.

Most of my clients come to me undereating and overtrained. I help them get results eating more and working out less, enjoying foods they love and debunking myths around nutrition and diet modalities. With my online program, they get:
* Personalized Fitness and nutrition protocols
* Access to my fitness app with video demonstrations of each exercise
* Weekly Check-ins for adjustments as needed
* 24/7 access to me for support
* Access to an exclusive clients-only group chat for motivation and support
* Weekly educational modules about fitness, nutrition and lifestyle

This is my passion and I have a huge goal to help as many busy moms as I can transform their bodies, help them feel confident and to enjoy life without stressing about the number on the scale.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road at all. I have failed so many times trying to learn the best way on my own and even when working with other coaches I have learned what I do not like about their coaching style which helped me build my program. After 2016 when I worked with the fitness coach, between 2017-2018 I gained a lot of weight back, about 25lbs, while I was trying to find the answer I was looking for, a lifestyle nutrition and fitness approach I could sustain being a working mom.

Up to this date, I have lost 18lbs out of those 25bs I gained back, by applying the protocols I created for my program. I have improved my body composition and I’m being able to sustain my progress while eating pizza and having wine every now and then.

Another struggle I have faced is building a business by myself while still working full time to support my family. I have very little time available for fun and even though I enjoy doing what I’m doing for my clients, I would love to do it full time and I am preparing for when that moment comes.

The quarantine has helped me stay focus on my own fitness progress as well as building an online business from scratch in a time where a lot of people are struggling financially and emotionally. I decided to invest around $10k to build this business during the pandemic and I can’t be more grateful for making that decision back in March. I was scared and nervous about what was going to happen but women now than ever need coaches with personalized programs they can follow and sustain and every one of my clients is so happy about their progress and the results they are having but especially about the community we are building to support each other in these difficult times.

Please tell us about your business.
I offer online weight loss coaching services to Hispanic busy moms wanting to lose body fat and gain back their confidence. There are a lot of fitness programs out there but most of them are a one size fits all approach. I create my nutrition and fitness protocols 100% personalized for the woman I am working with. What sets me apart is the education portion. I teach my clients about nutrition and fitness so I am the last coach they ever have to hire for weight loss.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t have waited six years to do this. I would have educated myself earlier in the process instead of trying to figure it out by myself. I would have hired a coach with a program similar to mine where I could learn straight from the source. I have spent more than $3k in weight loss programs in the past and with what I know now, I would have paid the same amount for a program this comprehensive back then to help me get the results in less time and less frustration.
