Meet Michelle Xuxu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Xuxu.

Michelle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started working in this field in 2014 interning for Arsenic back when I was in college at the University of Utah. I knew that – that wasn’t the right place for me. I quickly moved out to LA in Jan of 2015 and haven’t looked back. Arsenic at the time was purely a creative community which still holds as a strong through-line of everything that we do today, except back then we were all only paid in Pizza and Good Vibes. Since then we’ve grown to work with companies influencers and celebrities across the globe. It’s been an amazing journey to be apart of and I’ve been able to be a key player in all of our activations. I’ve worked major brands such as Bebe casting their campaigns, along with Annusher Bush in the Dominican Republic covering their Festival Presidente which is a rarity as it only happens every couple of years or so. I’ve been managing our relationships with Post Malone, Swae Lee, Diplo, Major Lazor, Jeremih, and a number of other musicians since 2016. I’ve been able to spot key talent and aid in their development such as Tina Louise back in 2015, an Australian Model now an influencer with over 2.2M followers expanding as a business owner Sugar Taco a Vegan Mexican Restaurant off of Melrose. In addition, I’ve been able to help companies better understand the social media space, speaking on multiple panels. One of which, Elevator Studios was held at the Hollywood Palladium same stage that Nipsey Hussle and a number of other noteworthy people have been on.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No one’s path is exactly straight you always find an unexpected curve. I would say remember that everything that happens is for a short moment. Things come and go as they are needed. Trust your instincts, keep moving forward and keep your eye on your goals.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of. What sets you apart from others?
For me, Arsenic shines the most at being a community. There is something special that happens here, the bonds, the friendships, the positivity that is given here is unlikely most things in life, let alone in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. People have found their life partners, their roommates, their best friends during their time with Arsenic. In fact, people across the globe have gotten the Arsenic Logo tattooed, including myself.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
For myself, I would say one of my greatest joys is helping people grow and develop into their highest potential can be. I would love to continue in this space and expanding my network to connect the right people together to build the bridge between dreams and reality.
