Today we’d like to introduce you to Vik Tchalikian.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ever since I was a child, my passion for cars was evident. When I was 16, I would use my summer break as a chance to work at my uncle’s mechanic shop. As I got older I started working on my own cars with my most obvious being a BMW M3 that was a world record breaking car.
At 26 years old, I teamed up with a well experience auto body partner and created RDB LA. My goal was to create a true enthusiasts full auto center focusing on high end automobiles.
Now a few years later RDB LA has become the name for auto modifications and repair.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely wouldn’t call it a smooth ride. Many hurdles I had to overcome and still to this day we have daily struggles. But without them it wouldn’t be fun! Some struggles include innovating new things customers want that seem nearly impossible. Also with cars anything can go wrong so of course there’s been situations that needed quick thinking and action. Competition is also fierce and it’s crazy to see some of the things that have happened but again we focus on the main target, the cars.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about RDBA LA – what should we know?
Everyone that knows me will tell you how detailed I am over the cars/builds. How my taste and build quality surpasses anyone they have encountered. I am proud most of the accomplishments we’ve achieved with builds that impress everyone.
What sets us apart is easy, our enthusiasm and real passion for the business. We worry less about the money and more about the client.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My father has always pushed me to do things. Never has he let me settle down and be comfortable where I am. This has ultimately made the me the person that I am, working every day without letting off.
