Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Hogan.
Victoria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Flora Pop started on my bicycle in Brooklyn, where I would sell bouquets in front of both the Manhattan & Brooklyn courthouses. I moved to Las Vegas & found myself immersed in the floral design side of weddings. At the time I created my pop-up there were few people utilizing the beauty of the Nevada desert, so using my fine art background, I made a design spectacle that people wanted to get married in front of. I’ll pop my teardrop trailer up wherever with flowers, donuts & champagne & officiate your wedding on the spot!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey to owning my business was a long one because I feel that my graduate school experience is tied in. I lived in NY & struggled as an artist, I tried many & I mean many jobs! Nothing quite felt right, so I took the leap & invested in myself. There were months in the beginning where I thought I’d made a mistake, but with some patience my business began to grow. I believe if you’d buy into an experience, there are other like-minded people out there willing to do the same.
Flora Pop – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are known for our desert weddings with vintage pop-up trailer that I built myself! We didn’t invent the elopement, but we sure did reinvent it! Couples that work with us comment on the effortlessness of the weddings that we create for them. If you want no stress, beautiful backdrops & the ease of enjoying your partner, then we’re the company for you!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I am most proud that I get to meet people from all over the world that I can now call my friends!
