Meet Victor Corbera of Corbera Creative in Granada Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Corbera.

Victor, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
From the get-go I was always entranced by creativity. As a kid I went from crayons, to Legos, to sketchpads to computers. I got my start in the world of commercial art as a delivery driver. Loving all things creative I was excited to play any role in the creative process. I learned early on the value of being faithful to the task at hand regardless of how big or small. It was an exciting time; I thrived off the fast pace of juggling a full-time job while being a full-time student. Hard work can pay off, as I went from driver, to production artist and eventually Art Director. Working with various agencies, I got a chance to be a part of projects for companies like Disney, JVC, Nestle and Warner Brothers. In 2005 I was approached by the Creative Services Department at Lionsgate to join their in-house team of Art Directors. It was a great time and I was privileged to work on titles such as Rambo, The Hunger Games, Precious, and Twilight. The highlight of my time at Lionsgate was when I accepted a Gold Clio award for our teams work on the Tarantino XX Box Set. In 2015 I started to consider how I could use my expertise to help other businesses develop their brands and projects, and Corbera Creative was launched.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road is never straight or clear and because no two projects are the same it helps to be flexible and an improviser. The single biggest obstacle is keeping up with technology.

People always ask me if I code websites. I understand what they might be asking but the truth is that technology is constantly changing and regardless of the tools/tech used to build a website or design brochure, the real question is, “What are you communicating?” Having the right tools for the job is essential in helping brands communicate their message in today’s environment.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Corbera Creative – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Even though the creative process can be chaotic at times, it is always a fun adventure.

Corbera Creative offers full-service web design, graphic design, brand development and packaging design. I went into business out of the desire to share my expertise and passion for great creative. Corbera Creative has 15+ years of experience and a proven track record of successful project launches.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
From the beautiful sunsets that ignite the skies, to the palm tree-lined streets, L.A. really is the place to be. I love all the diverse cultures, aesthetics and tastes that our city not only contains but celebrates. The only thing I would change is the traffic. We could really use better public transportation.
