Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Domenech.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Spain where I was working on TV & Theatre as a professional dancer. I moved to Los Angeles 20 years ago and continue my dancing career founding my own dance company which eventually led me to expand my business and create my own wedding and event planning company Best Dream Weddings.
I was mentored by a very well known planner in the industry, Tobey Dodge, and the knowledge I acquired with her taught me all the most important factors to keep in mind when planning a wedding. There are many details involved when you need to plan an event or wedding that are behind the scenes and being aware of every little detail is extremely important to have a successful event.
Hard work, professionalism and building a good relationship with other vendors, venues and of course clients, is how I have been able to keep doing what is my passion for now ten years with Best Dream Weddings.
I absolutely love my work and I am happy to say that I have the best clients in the world.
Has it been a smooth road?
I honestly can say that it has been fairly smooth to build a name for myself. I always say that it has been destiny that put me in the right path and I was lucky enough to call this my career, not just my passion, only one year after I found my company.
Being a professional dancer for many years, I was very use to the “behind scenes” work and communicating with people to make sure I understood what their needs and vision were. Putting everything together and creating an amazing event is the magic that I love to create.

We are based in Los Angeles but often work in Orange County and all over Southern California.
We provide a top-quality service specialized in South Asian, Persian, Jewish, LGTB and Multicultural weddings & events with an exceptional understanding of ethnic ceremonies. I was featured on “Quiero Mis Quince” as a Latin planner and choreographer for MTV3 as well as in “Latino Bride & Groom” magazine for a Mexican/Persian wedding and I’ve been planning events and weddings for top Hollywood producers and TV personalities.
I have a very outgoing and engaging personality which is a big part of connecting with people, my personality combined with the attention to detail and experience that I provide, its what makes people feel safe, happy and confident when hiring my services.
What am I most proud? Honestly, to be able to make a living doing what I love with the best clients in the entire world and be lucky enough to work with a team of professionals and other vendors/venues that care for the clients as much as we do.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think any city can be good as long as you have a passion, determination and put your heart 110% in what you do.
My advice for someone who would love to start a business is make sure that you have the best mentor to guide you with the “REAL” side of the business. Sometimes movies give you a completely misinterpretation of what we really do, work in real events/weddings and don’t base your future career on a movie HAHA!
This is a career that requires lots of phycology and remaining calm no matter what. You need to be a people person and be ready to be on the phone for hours and making changing over and over and over and over and over and guess what? You need to be ok with that because it is part of our business. It’s not about the money is about the heart that you put on that event what will make you stand out and make people remember you for next time.
