Meet Valentina Socci

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Socci.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I start my career in photography when I was 19 years old when I move to Milan from my small city Perugia.

I have been working as an assistant over 7 years for the most famous photographer in Europe such us Giovanni Gastel, Nigel Perry, Marco Glaviano etc…During that period I met many people that changed my life with their experience like the director of White Magazine that hired me as shoot coordinator for the magazine.

After that period my career started to move. I was hired to shoot some major luxury labels such as Pollini, Celine, Marc Jacob, Borsalino, Rene Caovilla , Autier , Rossi Moda, Malo chachemy and many more.

From then I move between fashion and interior design but I discover that my real passion is for Stillife in particular for makeup.

I have been traveling a lot in those periods not only for the job but more for my personal curiosity and to find a place where I can feel home …

I moved to Los Angeles 3 year ago , I was not easy .

While living in Los Angeles my career evolved and shifted in the world of celebrity portraits and editorials, and continues to work for prestigious cosmetics brands such as Eve by Eve , Wet and Wild, and Sephora.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think like in each freelance job it is never easy! Nope! It Has not been a smooth road!!!

Well first of all ,like all freelance job, you don’t have economic stability so sometimes you can feel a little demotivated to go ahead I have to be strong and remember to myself that this is what I want and that for which I have made many sacrifices.

There are many competitors and almost of them don’t care about the quality but only about money , that can make your road very risky. In 20 years I find many obstacles but I never give up because I know what I want from when I was 9 7 and I received my first camera like a gift for my birthday.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Valentina Socci Photographer – what should we know?
For over 16 years, I have been photographing advertising campaigns for major clients including North Sails Sportswear, European cosmetic company Astra and Malo Cashmere. My expansive portfolios include works in Fashion, Beauty, Interiors, Architectural, Still Life and Portrait.
I am specialized in Cosmetic and product.

I am proud of my work when my client is happy.

I love work with people and satisfy they expectation .

I am from Italy so ma test in luxury is very Hight and my clients love that.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have a Few people to say thank for where I am today but in particular, this two guy one is Stefano Canzio is the first that has believed in me.

He helped me to move in Milan and start my career.

The second one is Francesco Gastel that inspire me and help to move to Los Angeles…
