Meet Ty$tone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty$tone.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ty$tone. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started making music in 2019 after I lost two of my brothers to gun violence in 2014 and 2018. Their death made me want something better for myself so I began my musical journey. I started with my first single “Trenches” in early 2019 and realized this is my passion.

I released my next single “M.U.D.D.D” in October of 2019 which really put my name on the map. “M.U.D.D.D” reached over 100k streams on SoundCloud and Spotify. After seeing how successful my music could be, I decided to keep going and see where it can take me.

Has it been a smooth road?
I can definitely say it was not always a smooth road. At first, it was difficult for me to really get my name out there so people can see I was serious with music. I struggled with building streams. Also, I had moments where I hit writer’s block and wasn’t sure what direction I really wanted to go in. But like any challenge, I overcame it to still be successful.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
Music is my business. I make music to comfort others and myself. My music is based off a true story. I wanted to make music for people who have gone through the same experiences as me. I am most proud of the people that I have helped just by telling my story.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
My proudest moment was reaching 100k streams on different music platforms. It created many opportunities for me and also helped me realize the talent that I have.
