Meet Tyler Peterson of Plush Digital in Van Nuys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Peterson.

Tyler, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My first dip into professional and entrepreneurial life came in 11th grade when I founded Sports for You(th), an organization that provided sports classes for kids. At the age of 16, I built the business from $0 in revenue to 20+ weekly clients. It was at this time, that I realized “work” is a passion of mine.

I later co-founded a social media startup, BOOM Social, which won a collegiate entrepreneurship award and for which we raised a seed round from a strategic angel (investor). We built the platform to have a few thousand active users, but we failed to monetize.

Following my experience promoting BOOM with a campus ambassador team, I co-founded Collegiate Networks, a college rep company. We built the business to more $200k+ in revenue run-rate, while still finishing college.

Most recently, I accepted a position as Director of Business Development at Valley-based Plush Digital. At Plush Digital I head up all new business efforts, on-boarding clients who we help with digital customer acquisition and content analytics.

I love all things tech, entrepreneurship, and “work.”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As soon as I learned that failure is a part of life, and a valuable one at that, the road has been much smoother. 🙂

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Plush Digital, Inc. – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Plush Digital is a leader in the OTT (over-the-top of the cable box content, think NBA League Pass) industry, as we help some of the most successful content brands in the world acquire customers via digital.

We are differentiated by our proprietary content analytics engine, known as Plush Score. Plush Score leverages a unique data modeling methodology to gain deep insight into the relative values of what content, creative, and actions are driving revenue events.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
No changes planned yet, but I’m sure there will be many.

I’m hyper-focused on building out the business development team and more importantly, revenue pipeline, at Plush Digital.
