Meet Tyler Capri Clark

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Capri Clark.

Tyler, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts where I trained to be a professional dancer. I’m classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern (horton), and contemporary. All while auditioning for local commercials in the Boston area. But I loved to dance so much so I stopped acting to fully focus on dance. I always thought I was going to be a professional dancer until I got a stress fracture on my right shin bone while training at The Ailey School in NYC. But during this time, I landed a principal role in the movie starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy The Heat. This set me on my path to my acting career. I moved out to LA and started training at Playhouse West. This big change in my life also set me on my spiritual journey.

During this time, I started having precognitive dreams and to understand how and why this could happen, I started learning about astrology by watching astrology YouTube videos in hopes I could receive some insight on the best moves to take in my life. At first, it was just for my own use to help gain self-awareness but the more I learned about reading my birth chart, I was compelled to see if I could do the same by reading other’s charts. So I started studying close friends and family members birth charts and realized how unique each chart was and how accurate their birth chart interpretations were! This finding motivated me to study more. I started to become more open about my study of astrology to my new friends in LA which quickly aligned me with my soul tribe. In this new community, my friends introduced me to crystal healing, tarot cards, and all other sorts of divination. Which I soon adopted to help enhance my astrology knowledge.

In the first time in my life, I had friends that were interested in my peculiar interest and they helped me gain the confidence to fully step into my identity of an astrologer and healer by posting astrology forecasts on my Instagram stories! I became a salonniere for The app Yoni circle which is a womxn based community that connects womxn more deeply to themselves and others through sharing their life experiences through storytelling. This community helped me find my voice to embody my true persona on social media. I felt inspired to share a part of my spiritual routine with the world by posting pick a card exercises on my Instagram, I pair each card with a crystal that resonates with the message of the card. I also started posting full/new moon astrology forecast to my igtv so it could be easier for friends to share to others. It’s been an interesting journey so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road! I always felt like a loner because it was hard for people to relate to my interest in astrology and other occult knowledge. And it was also hard for me to communicate why I’m interested in it without feeling self-conscious or judged.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I consider myself an intuitive astrology and give birth chart readings! This reading tells you where all the planets were the day and time you were born. Each planet expresses a different consciousness that creates patterns and cycles you repeat throughout your life. Knowing your chart will help you balance your mind, body, soul, and spirit so that you can develop self-awareness.

• You’ll know which planet is activated for you this year.
• Which areas of your life will be impacted in good or challenging ways
• What daily actions/practices will help you feel balanced and aligned

What sets me apart from other astrologers is that I corporate other spiritual knowledge, for example, spirit guides that you can work with based on if certain planets in your chart align with stars or asteroids. I also give tarot readings that help you connect to your higher self and intuition so that you can continue to grow and nurture this newfound self-awareness.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like LA is a great place to start any spiritual based business, I mean it’s known as the city of angels! It’s a melting pot of so many different cultures and people that are open to learning more about the world. But I feel like the best place to start your business is where you have the most family/friend support because they’re the ones that will allow you to work on your craft to gain your confidence to excel in any place.
