Meet Travion Richardson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Travion Richardson.

Hi Travion, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
UpThaladderRecords was established in Compton, CA in 2011. I was a part of the original “PushazInk The Label” alongside Yg, Dj Mustard, and TyDollaSign. I got the chance to experience the music industry firsthand. I wanted to create something of my own that would push people to believe that they Can become anything they want, Because in right now it says they become anything they want. The one thing that stuck out to me about the artist that I grew up around was their drive and dedication to making their dreams a reality. I established UP THA LADDER because I believe no matter how tough life may seem, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel if you continue to push through. The ladder represents the different levels of success, and the higher up you get, the closer you become to reaching your ultimate goal. I want the people that listen to my music to understand that anything is possible, as long as they continue to climb the ladder of success.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge is trying to balance everything from the studio, business and building my brand while raising children. I’m trying to maintain a business/work-life balance. My biggest goal is to push through and maximize to my fullest potential while attempting to discover the right support and resources. The journey so far has not been the easiest. However, this is why my brand means so much to me. It is a constant reminder that no matter how much progress I make, some progress is better than none. All things are possible if I continue to go Up Tha Ladder.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a recording artist under the stage name “osoloaded”. I’ve been rapping and performing for about 11 years. I grew up to many different inspirational artists. I come from a family of musicians, you could say it’s a part of who I am. Before I could rap, I learned to dance. The music always did something to me. As a child, I would always say to myself, one day that would be my music coming from the speakers, and here we are today.
