Meet Trailblazer Tatiana Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Lee.

Tatiana Lee is the voice behind Where she highlights her journey as an actress, model & lifestyle influencer born with Spina Bifida. She also uses her social platforms to speak boldly about accessibility and inclusion in mass media. Tatiana felt invisible to the rest of society because she didn’t see anyone that looked like her in popular media growing up in Coatesville PA. So, she moved to LA to pursue her passions further and vowed to be the change she wanted to see. She quickly realized that wheelchair accessibility was a major barrier for her and wanted to shed insight into her perspective.

She was in one of Apple’s first ad campaigns featuring people with disabilities using Apple’s accessible features and products. You can also see Tatiana in short films like the 2018 Disability Film Challenge Best Awareness Film “Footloose” viral videos like Coffee with Tim Cook CEO of Apple, modeling campaigns like #PerfectFigure for Parfait Lingerie and more. She currently is undertaking speaking engagements, panels, and attending Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Theater as a 2x Diversity Scholarship recipient. Tatiana also loves beauty, fashion, fitness and hosting and attending events with her peers and is always ready to support discussions of inclusion in any way she can.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been easy. Accessibility is an issue and sometimes, being in spaces where people aren’t always accepting of me, but it’s changing, and I just take things as they come and make the best of each moment!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Accessible Hollywood – what should we know?
I’m an actor, model, lifestyle influencer with Spina Bifida. I blog about, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and accessibility. I have worked with companies like Apple, Torrid, ModCloth, and a #pefectfigure model for Parfait Lingerie which I’m one for the first women of color on wheels to model lingerie

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I feel we are in a great time for women to stand out, be heard and make a change, we just have to know we are that powerful and then take action.
