When she’s not prepping for an interview or a red carpet, you might find her binge-watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians or seeking great finds at thrift and consignment shops.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been such a roller coaster! Yet, such a blessing at the same time.

Standing out amongst the many other young women who are in my line of work has been my biggest challenge. I overcome that by being as authentic as I can be. I also think of the many innovative ways in which I can reinvent myself, my image and my brand.

Let’s not forget my work! As a correspondent, I like to ask the questions that most reporters are afraid to ask. Yet, I ask in a professional way that doesn’t offend my interviewees.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Seleah Simone – what should we know?
I’m known for the many red carpets that I cover from coast to coast. As a red carpet correspondent and associate producer, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing everyone from Teyanna Taylor to the legendary Demi Moore.

I build out original content for the entertainment/music market.

I’m very excited to be producing a new show that will be housed on a major website. It’s my first experience producing a full-on show! I have a great team. Stay tuned for more details surrounding its launch.

We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
For women, we still deal in some respects with this male-dominated world. We’re making strides and holding our own. Yet, when it comes to being the big boss, many of us are still striving to break that glass ceiling.

However, I’m grateful to be alive in a time when things fall in the “favor” of women. We’re able to speak more freely on injustice and the world is listening. There’s a cry out in regards to sexual abuse and assault.
