Meet Trailblazer Natalie Ellis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Ellis.

Natalie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m one of those cliche people who has always known they wanted to be an entrepreneur. 😉 When I got my first computer with internet in my teens, I started my own web design company and continued to have multiple endeavors since then. Through my own journey in business, I found my two passions coming together: building community and entrepreneurship. This was how BossBabe has came to be what you see today – we have build a community of female entrepreneurs who support and encourage each other, and we provide the inspiration and resources they need to go out and turn their ideas into reality.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, and it still continues to be a difficult road, if I’m being honest! In the beginning of your journey, the hardest part is staying consistent when you have no results to show for your hard work. I really recommend visualization and getting super clear on where you’re going and why this is important to you. Combine this strong vision with serious consistency and you’ll start to see results. Once it starts, you ride it from there!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about BossBabe – what should we know?
Some people think of us as a media company but we are so much more than that. We are an educational company for female entrepreneurs and my co-founder and I have compiled everything we know into a blueprint so that other women can build their businesses confidently. Whether that’s growing your own audience of raving fans or launching your business successfully, we’ve got it covered.

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Find a community of other people who support you and are doing similar things. Like I said, consistency is hard when you’re not seeing results. This is a big reason we created our membership The Société because business can be incredibly lonely, especially in the early stages. Find a group of people who you can share this journey with, study those who’ve created the success you’re looking to create and hold the vision!
