Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Schulze.
Mariana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began my eclectic photography career studying Art Direction in Buenos Aires, Argentina where quickly absorbed the underlying organic patterns of creativity and developed an eye for beauty. I further advanced my career working closely with professional photographers in the advertising and fashion industry worldwide and worked with film, then becoming a pioneer in high-end digital photography before, most people recognized its potential as a powerful medium.
After settling in Ojai, the past 15 years of my work has become iconic within the bohemian California lifestyle.
I work with healers from all walks of life, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My life in many different countries and cultures has given me exposure to several obstacles which have only enriched my resourcefulness. Challenge for me is an invitation for creativity expansion. I thrive on a challenge by shifting perspective.
We’d love to hear more about Mariana Schulze Photography.
An optimistic observer with a love for storytelling with a natural fine-tuned skill for identifying beauty and potential.
I have a passion for assisting brands and individuals to clarify their mission. In collaboration, we craft authentic content that will help them to deliver their message clearly.
I walk them through all aspects of branding, marketing, e-commerce, design, photography and social media.
My uniqueness resides in the ability to portray an intangible reality we feel but can’t quite articulate… a window into a world we all know, but don’t quite remember.
Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
I am not much of a reader lately because I prefer my ideas to not be influenced by other’s ideas.
I enjoyed the book Mastery by Robert Greene and poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke.
Apps: Wunderlist ( for reminders and projects), Digit (for auto savings), Asana (for project management), HelloBonsai (for contracts, invoicing etc.), Instagram for spreading the message.
