Meet Tracy Pacht of TapSnap in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Pacht.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I came across TapSnap when I was looking for a photo booth for our daughter’s upcoming Bat Mitzvah at the time. I was attracted to TapSnap for its innovation, technology, engagement, and customization. I originally contacted the company to see if I could work for them and then decided it was a good fit for me to purchase a franchise.

I’m a year in to owning the franchise for Beverly Hills, Burbank, Calabasas, and the Thousand Oaks area. I mainly focus on corporate events where customization and branding is an important value.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is definitely challenging taking on a new business all on your own. You have to learn quickly from your mistakes and try to keep positive. There is a lot of ground to cover for one person managing all aspects of the business and sometimes figuring out where to spend your time is not always easy. Getting in front of the right audience is key.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
TapSnap is all about interaction and customization. The quality of photos coupled with the customization of graphics from displaying logos to custom green screen backgrounds sets apart from the average photo booth. Guests have the ability to draw on their photo, customize their background and/or choose from backgrounds on the fly, add digital props, share instantly on social media, and much more! I have done events for charities, galas, celebrity poker tournaments, celebrity tennis charity events, Bat Mitzvahs, reunions, and seeing the enjoyment from the guests makes it all worthwhile.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I worked for my family’s business from a young age, which was a NY tennis club. I learned hard work and dedication by spending every summer practicing tennis as well as working. I played Division I tennis in college and studied Marketing and Sports Marketing. I spent most of my life living in NY and FL and have just recently in the past few years relocated with my family to CA.
