Meet Tommy Limbrick of Limbrick Media Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tommy Limbrick.

Tommy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My love of entertainment as a child. It started when I was about 9 or 10. I loved acting and writing, so my parents put me in some acting classes. I went on a couple of auditions but did not land any parts. By the age 13, I found myself moving from wanting to act to the music industry.

I started writing songs and singing and my goal was to become a well-known songwriter. When I started high school one of my classes was Acting/Theater and it sparked the acting flame again. While in high school I performed some monologues, I was also in a couple of plays and shows. After high school I didn’t push the acting as I wish I would have, at that time I wanted to become an industry mogul. I started a record label at the age of 21 and signed some artists to the label.

While building the label I was working a regular 9 to 5 to fund the label and make things happen, it wasn’t easy managing and running a label at that age and trying to build and have a strong team behind me, eventually I let the label go after several years, but something kept pulling back towards film production. I stayed focus and kept writing not so much music but more scripts.

Through it all, my faith, perseverance and constantly working at my craft has gotten me where I am today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road which I appreciate, because if you haven’t gone through obstacles and the struggle to get to where you’re going you will not appreciate it once you get there. I believe once your there it’s about maintaining where you are and growing and expanding on your dreams or journey. It’s not a one-stop for me I have so many other things I want to do and achieve outside of the entertainment industry.

At this moment where I am right now, I remained humble with every opportunity and with those around me. There have been negative people and naysayers, but those people just make me stronger while on my journey. I always tell myself to never give up and live out all of your dreams and continue to thrive period.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Limbrick Media Group is a media company that specializes in Film Production. What we’re known for is producing the food show “Eating Live with Sly” which I would like to give a shout out to the host Sly Jones, also producing the podcast show “The Get Down Live”. We were also contracted to produce Season 2 of “Her Wine Down”. What I’m most proud of as a company is giving our clients and our audience a good product. What sets us apart from others is that we give good service without cutting any corners and keeping our projects just a little different so it can stand out. Our tagline is New Thinking. New Media.

As of now we’re in the Pre-Production stages for a new Digital Series called “Live Laugh Yoga”. We’re also in the development stages for a movie and working on a couple more Series and Reality Shows which I’m very excited about.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have gone full-on with the production side at the beginning instead of trying to break into the music industry, but I’m an entrepreneur at heart. Now that I have my company Limbrick Media Group I am definitely enjoying where I am and the journey that I am on as I grow in the industry. At the end of the day, I want to inspire others to live their dream and make sure I’m a role model to my son and let him know to never give up on any of his dreams and aspirations.
