Meet Tiffany Nguyen of Tiffany Lee Ann Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Nguyen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiffany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am born and raised in California. As a small child, I remember rearranging my room all the time. When I went to college as a music major, I took pride in my own room and decorated my dorm and constantly bought fresh flowers. It was then I realized I was in the wrong major. I transferred to Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach in 2002, and loved it so much I completed my Bachelors in Interior Design there. I started work through their intern program for a local designer where I assisted in designing a professional baseball player’s beach house.

It was not clear to me then, but it is now, how growing up in California has shaped my view on design.

At only 20 years old I started working at Ethan Allen Inc. and successfully design thousands of rooms, top to bottom. I designed for seven years and was promoted to a management position. I then went through a tragedy in my personal life and it woke me up to start living my dreams. I made the scary decision to leave my comfortable job and start my own design firm. And I am living the life I dreamed being my own boss, partnering with my husband on remodel projects, and having the flexibility to stay home with my two daughters.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would say it’s been smooth with one speed bump when I leaped out into my own business.

It was scary, and took quite a bit of coaching and self-development to gain the emotional strength to run my own business. Being an entrepreneur is challenging and it takes passion and tenacity to keep on pressing forward when I was working to get my name out. I love what I do and I love helping clients create a space they love to live in so I kept the dream in sight. And now I am a force to be reckoned with!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Tiffany Lee Ann Design – what should we know?
I own a full-service design firm awarded the Super Service Award by Angie’s List. Myself and my team create functional and beautiful kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces such as bedrooms, great rooms, rec rooms etc, and window treatments. I team up with my husband, Kim Nguyen and Reborn Cabinets, Remodeler of the Year, to create kitchen and bath remodels that include an unprecedented lifetime warranty.

I am known for Attainable California Elegance. I incorporate clean lines and high fashion with a casual vibe. I understand the complexities of home aesthetics, combined with multiple functions.

I strive to give my clients the ultimate home improvement experience. Designing and decorating a home is supposed to be fun. I love bringing my client’s vision for their home into reality. I pride myself in listening at the free initial consultation, and defining and infusing my client’s style into their home. I clearly convey my design ideas by creating design presentation boards, 3D renderings, fabric flat lays on the presentation board, which is a lost art. My passion and love for interior design spills over into my design process making it enjoyable for every client I serve.

A developing project that I am proud of is The Home Style Kit. It’s a DIY design guide with an online portal that gives you a step by step guide on how to decorate like a pro.

And a shopping list, floorplan, design board, and material suggestions. This can be customized for you at a nominal amount.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My husband has been a tremendous support and cheerleader. My friend Lauren A., who sparked a spirit of mom boss in me, and my friend Christa B. who encouraged me to keep designing through the “land of crickets” or otherwise silence. I’ve benefitted from so many authors in developing my entrepreneurial side, Jen Sincero, Grace Lever, Joe Vitali, and my Ontological coach Abigail Gazda.
