Meet Tiana Valenzuela of TianaVeeStyles in Hollywood Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiana Valenzuela.

Tiana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
For years, I would hide behind a mask present only what I wanted others to see, but what you don’t know is that in those years, I was depressed. Insecure. Didn’t believe in my talent. I fought day and night with the enemy who fed me so many lies about myself. In between fighting my own demons, I was going through a divorce which caused me to have to start all over and lose everything. During those times, I’ve used clothing as my healing.

I would get dressed up and get my pictures taken. I remember staring at myself and thinking I am going to fight day in and day out to become the woman I knew I could be. The woman who looked all put together on photos but inside was broken.

During the healing phase, I mediated and learned to love myself again. I became vegan and found love again. Fast forward, my mom gifted me with this book called The Secret which taught me the power of manifestation and gratitude for all you have. At the time, I lived in Austin and wasn’t feeling challenged enough. I remember wanting to move to Los Angeles but was like how could I ever afford it.

After practicing manifestation every day, the manifestation journey began. I wanted to become a Stylist, I wanted to heal other people through the power of clothing. I wanted more than enough money to do so. I had already styled in Austin and was doing quite well, I attended Magic2020 and remember being so on fire. That’s when I knew this is what I am supposed to be doing.

I wrote myself a voided check with the amount of 3,500 for my new Los Angeles apartment. I had the slightest clue how I was going to even get those funds. I started saving here and there never really applying any pressure. That’s when the real miracle happened. I had a free check that allowed me to add $1,000 and then COVID unexpectedly happened and a month later, I have the exact amount of 3,500 in my savings. The exact amount I wrote myself.

From there, I began manifesting more and more and showing gratitude every morning and now I am living in Los Angeles a place I only dreamed of being. During my first two weeks of being here, I got a job as an assistant stylist for a commercial and I am now starting my own styling/vending business.

I hope this inspires others that no matter what it may look like now that is not your final destination. Greater is on the way. Now I get to heal many others through my unique taste of style. One of my greatest lessons is that in order to receive more, we must show gratitude.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I am used to Austin which is a must smaller city of course than Los Angeles. In the beginning, I was self-taught, I learned from the books Fashion Stylist’s Handbook and Secrets of Stylists. Watching stylists live Q&A to ask questions from successful stylists. It was harder for me because I am more a hands-on learner. I wanted to actually work with someone it was harder to do so because of COVID.

Thankfully within two weeks of moving here, I was able to get some experience with costume building and being on my first set. For my vending business side of things, I am definitely learning as I go and I have a great mentor who has been helping me along my journey so far.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with TianaVeeStyles – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a personal stylist, I specialize in all types of styling, however; I find myself loving personal styling and editorial styling. I am known for my unique eye to see the beauty in any piece. I love mixing textures and patterns and I am very bold including my hair which is Cotton Candy pink.

I am most proud of my new found confidence to even start my own styling business which will then become a vending business as well. I am proud of the people I’ve gotten to style and help so far.

They each have their own unique reasoning or story on why they’re needing styling assistance and being able to help establish their look and them trusting me has been by far the greatest reward.

What sets me apart is I don’t look to others as competition, but only as an aspiration. I like to really get to know my clients and set a goal for what they want to accomplish while working with me. I don’t give up and I always aim to make every look unique but customize to my clients.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans are to style upcoming artists as well as work personal stylist other artists. I want to also want to work with other designers and people who are really looking to heal and become their true selves as clothing has done for me. I plan to sell items and include styling tips if needed when purchased.
