Meet Terry Bahri of TerryB Luxury Travel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Bahri.

Terry brings to the travel industry a multi-cultural background, a zest for traveling and an extensive sales experience.

Born in Egypt, raised in Lebanon and French-educated, Terry started traveling throughout Europe at age 18 and has since lived in France, Belgium, Greece, Egypt, Lebanon and the United States. Terry is fluent in English, French and Arabic and can successfully dabble in Spanish and Italian

Terry’s business background is as diversified as her cultural background. Originally working in banking operations, purchasing and security, she later transferred to private banking catering to high net-worth and entertainment industry clients, and transitioned into the planning and design of financial institutions.

Her next challenge came in the form of launching her own company representing domestic and international textile mills in the U.S. Running this business required a high level of skills in selling to, negotiating and interacting with executives and businesses around the globe and the experience brought a higher understanding of worldwide cultures and etiquettes.

Terry is an avid traveler and an avid reader who loves exploring different cultures, architecture and history. Her extensive sales and personal travel background led Terry to make a career out of her passion: traveling.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I started in the travel business in the early 2008 when the economy was at its worst and everyone was taunting the benefits of booking on line. Perseverance got me to where I am today. I was going to the office every day, learning, attending webinars and I joined several networks in order to introduce myself and my business. I attended and participated in bridal shows and finally after one whole year, I booked my first trip.

Starting the business was sure challenging but very rewarding as well. I always say, how can anyone not love to come to work researching great destinations such as Paris and Tahiti!!!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with TerryB Luxury Travel – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize mainly in luxury FIT (independent trips) honeymoons and destination weddings. From off the beaten path trips, tantalizing cities to villa and private island rentals we take care of it all. Seamless trips paired with great client services is what we aim for.

I am proud to have made a name and a great reputation in the industry in such a short time. Genuine connections with the suppliers is key because they make us look like a star.

I am a people person and easy going. I am very patient and explain everything about the destination, all the pro and cons and try to understand what a client is looking for. A little humor added to the mix never hurts!!!

When my clients are traveling they know that I am available for them 24/7.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am planning on growing the business and hiring more independent agents. Training and nurturing new talents in order to grow the business is key. I am also planning on adding a luxury and VIP corporate travel division.
