Meet Tedd Bernard of Helpfluencers in Downtown Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tedd Bernard.

Tedd, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
For the past five years, I’ve lived in Dubai while doing business in Germany the Philippines & India. I’m from Little Haiti – Miami, FL. But since moving back to the states, I’ve decided on LA.

Where I’m the Founder & CEO of Almost Famous Group a venture agency & Host of Helpfluencers a Podcast for Influencers who help.

I started out in Entrepreneurship at 16 years old where I started doing consulting from my local barbershop.

I help everyone from NBA players to Prominent Lawyers with branding and web work.

At 19, I raise my first round of funding for my startup – it started out as a discovery platform for talent but in 2008 – time were different for startups, especially going out of Miami, FL.

That ultimately failed and when it did, I was lucky to meet my mentor, Sasan Tabib. He’s an international entrepreneur, movie producer and owns a football/soccer league in Germany. Taught me a lot about life and business.

I worked with him and his company in Dubai, Germany, and the Philippines.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I went through college during the 2008 recession – those were tough times. I also went through some personal tragedies that would also change the course of my life.

However, from a business perspective, we had to go through some growing pains. Being young and arrogant, working with contractors, negotiating, building a team and the weekly conversation was about if we’d run out of money and somehow the other side of the coin is when people ask how things are going, it has to be AWESOME!

Helpfluencers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
So, Almost Famous Group is a venture agency. We build marketplace companies we have our own and we built ours for clients brands and influencers. Because of this, we’ve got a podcast and resource for influencers at The idea is that, as an influence, you don’t have to simply sell you ad space but you can be a business, we show them how.

Marketplaces will impact all verticles, so we’re proud to be part of the process.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment has got to be taking the leap and going to Dubai. I was able to explore the world while making an impact. As a startup, it was always all or nothing. Working with a company, there were micro appreciations along the way.

I’m fortunate to work with a passionate group of creatives that push boundaries so I believe my proudest moment is always in front of me… like tomorrow, I’m sure I’ll be very proud, oh and the day after.
