Meet Tazzz Devol of Classprojects

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tazzz Devol.

Tazzz, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m originally from Seattle, WA. I grew up there playing sports ended up being one of the best football players on the west coast. To be honest being in the position already helped me because I was around some pretty notable people and I already had a thing for videography an photography work because I use to watch one of my older brothers create daily in his music studio where he did pretty much everything. So in the back of my mind, I’m already thinking like if sports don’t work out I’m diving into the creative world asap. So sure enough that’s what I did right after stopped playing ball in Arizona, where I met one of my best friends/manager ClasspMyers. He’s pretty known for hosting big events where he brings out some big names in today’s music industry so we started this brand called CLASSPROJECTS while in college. We had this extra room in the apartment where we stayed together so we actually turned that into a meeting/creative room where we put everything together collectively. I originally started practicing and doing my research creating content with him and documenting our events as well.

So I traveled through LA a Seattle a lot always around some pretty dope individuals so at that moment I knew right then this is what I really want to do. I travel a lot through the west coast documenting pretty much a lifestyle surrounded by Public Figures, Celebrities, Models etc… This is still somewhat new to me even though I was introduced to it at a younger age a lot of people think that I’ve been doing this for a while but honestly I’ve only been taking photos publicly since 2019. This year I’m definitely aiming to work more with some of the most popular Streetwear brands an some of the top music festivals. 2019 was definitely a rollercoaster for me lots of ups and downs which I appreciate both because it helped me have better understanding. I’m still learning everyday there’s always more room to improve but this year is definitely gonna be one to remember.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I overcame a lot to get to the point where I am today. So for the ups and downs I’m grateful for because it helped me be the person I am today.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a creative director, I help direct music videos, I style shoots an I also create an edit for small commercials or previews for music videos.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans will be connecting an collaborating with bigger brands and companies. Also diving into the fashion scene.
